It's better than FireFox, in my opinion.

Pretty interesting. I like it better than firefox on Mac for sure. Mainly because it doesn’t expand to full screen, but just enough to show the full page.

Competition is a good thing, But...Itunes for Windows stinks on ice. I hope Safari is a much better product on Win32.

>Safari 3 on leopard...now runs on xp/vista

So, pages will run
the same on the Mac, iPhone
and now Vista, too.

I'd buy Apple stock.
Don't know if I'd buy a Mac,
but I'd buy the stock.

I never thought iTunes was that bad on Windows. It does seem people have problems getting Windows to recognize their iPod though.

Are you a web developer? Personally, I'm sick of "Safari Work-arounds". Firefox: WAD (Works as Designed)

Except for when Firefox has rendering errors or simply refuses to load a page...

Are you a web developer?

I've designed several web sites, including a couple of years as the webmaster for a Fortune 500 company, and was probably the first user of PHP on Mac hardware. Nowadays, I develop Mac applications with the Cocoa framework.

I haven't experienced many problems with Safari. It does a good job on standards compliance. In my experience, it's the "Internet Explorer" workarounds that cause a lot of grief.

I like it so far...but miss the spell-check as you go in Firefox...or I have to find how to enable it... :)

Live spell-check works on the Mac version. Check for the “Spelling” submenu under the Edit menu.

Found that - selecting that option on the menu seems to make no difference on the Windows version. I can live with it...

I downloaded and installed the new Safari, but wound up uninstalling it after it crashed multiple times trying to view the Leopard demo on Apple’s website. I’m running an Intel iMac with all the latest OS updates.

I usually don't have problems unless the page is heavily dependent on Microsoft-proprietary behavior (in which case, it's not Firefox's fault).
