Our horses were such good boys with the vet. Two shots each..rabies and encephalitis. Cost? Total $95.00. Not bad for a house call. In fact, that is the same price she charged last year. She's such a nice lady.

Hi lysie, I missed breakfast today. I was outside working in the yard. I still need to transplant some petuna waves into a better pot, and regular petunas to fill in. Oh, my poor upside down tomato gave up the ghost. It just didn’t like being upside down. I’ll try one of those hanging bags next time. The rest of the tomatoes are doing beautifully. My okra have blooms (2), but there are more on the way. I told Roomey he can pick them after he told me they have sticky pricklers. I don’t eat okra. BUT I eat grits. Having been born outside the continental limits of these United States, grits have not affected my speech.
Boy, we need rain.

91 degrees at the moment, and it appears that we may get some storms this afternoon. Could use the rain.
When I took my driver's test, I think I made the best parallel park I have ever done. (Fluke more than anything.) I still am not a fan of parallel parking, and will do it when I can't do anything else.
We lived out in the country and had to ride, or drive, to get anywhere.... although we used the bikes alot when I was younger.
We have some friends coming over this evening and we are getting the house cleaned up (a never ending task it seems!)
To answer you question concerning the AF Marathon; it is held at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio. This will be the 9th annual running of the race and promises to be a real big event which is also celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the USAF!
We are really looking forward to it.
Well, guess I better get back to work getting the veggies ready for this evening!

I bought 2 ea LARGE racks of ribs.
I picked up 6 ea 1.5 lb split chicken halves.
Taters for “baking”
Corn
and rice pilaf.
All I need is the Martini....
That’s a steal....good boys deserve an apple ;-)
