We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail
Hope your weekend was enjoyable and productive, and you're ready for the week ahead!
Let's hope the news stories which reflect in some measure our national interests move away from Paris What's-her-name!
301 and i’m outtahere.
Good morning Dawn Patrol. We covered a lot of ground yesterday, got close to our destination. Must have a bit of servicing done on the coach....ah, the joys of RV’ing.
(warranty work thank goodness, but barely)
Weather report for KC area looks fabulous for several days. A welcome relief from the unsettled weather we’ve experienced on the plains for the last month.
We’ll be moving a little bit further today but I’ll be back on later. Have a great day folks, thanks for the coffee lysie.
argh
Carolina, great about your new plants!. I'm making room in some of my beds...until there's more room, I can't buy any more plants!
Hamas taking over Gaza is still the big news..the worst of the worst extremists, a client state of Iran and Syria...a terrorist state...per Charles Krauthammer via Bill Bennett's show.
Good morning. I love hearing about your travels, other than the $$$ repairs.
Good morning, Molly.
Sometimes because he (BB) has such a deep voice I can’t hear him...even with headphones. Today appears to be a good day.
Yes, I can understand that. Youngest son has an even deeper voice, & in certain situations, it’s hard to hear him.
AQ's American Harbor Opinion Journal
so Mark Steyn’s on tv more? Guess I’m missing his appearances...
Morning!
Hi NY! Enjoying the outdoors? I’m heading out to check my plants...
Tell your son that if he does decide to pursue a career or, a stint in law enforcement he can really witness to a lot of folks that need it. On the other hand, if he does try it and decides to pursue the route I think he will he will have many, many sermons. add another many.
An update from La Petite Cottage:
Girl child's high school graduation ceremony went off well yesterday. The event was held at DAR Constitution Hall in DC. A total of 460 kids graduated; the ceremony took 2 1/2 hours, mostly reading off names.
My parents were in town for the event. Lots of eating--ate at Miss Kim's (Eye Street Grill) in the morning, Tony Chang's for lunch, and a bar-b-que for supper (we had to squeeze that in between thunderstorms, but we were successful!).
Wonderful! Thank you.
Your tagline...YES!! Take care of yourself first so others don't have to..then take care of others...my motto! Some may think that is selfish..NOT AT ALL. That's what my grandparent did and they were FAR from selfish.
Been away from the keyboard for a while and posting here due to work commitments (big inspection coming up) and recovering from shoulder surgery.
Hope everyone is doing well and hope to be able to spend a little more time with the best and nicest folks around on FR!
Congratulations, Chairman, to your daughter and her future college plans. Emmett Terrell has a column today about graduation speakers.
Jemian, I'm sure that JT will do well no matter which direction he goes.
Molly, thanks to you and lysie for continuing Chairman's work in posting the ATRW thread. (Btw, lysie...where's breakfast? LOL)
Toby, your new chicks are flocking onto your porch? Perhaps you can plant some tomatoes out there. 8)
"On the Road Again" seems to be your theme song, prairie. Thank goodness for warranties.
Rave, how is your wife's arm now? ....And on a lesser note, the pup?
I'm reading The Reagan Diaries now, and it is astounding (to me at least) how much work he did and how the problems then were so similar to those now for GWB...for instance, the leaks, the pack mentality of the press, the flair-ups of intrigues and downright perfidy.
Like Molly, I'm off to check on my flowers. It's good to see beauty in the morning....or anytime.
Weather man says it is not going to rain today, he lies of course.
I have been scooting all around on the computer this morning and am so dismayed to see ‘use to be’ backers of the president jumping ship. It seems that the whole world, minus 1, is after him, my, my how times change. I ‘spect that if Gore was leading? the whole world would be falling at his feet, the world would go to hell but they would be dropping like flies for him. Yep, have not had my grits yet and am in a terrible mood over this.
Talking of politics, do you notice how Lindsey Graham is going into panic mode because his hero is falling back in the polls? Betcha he jumps off this ship soon and let McCain just sink to the great whatever.
Special prayers for the Graham family..
I am really getting involved with my church, we got a pastor who is down to earth, just a great man and with a wonderful family. I am proud to announce that the church is growing by leaps and bounds.
I am so sick of this Paris thing, if she didn’t want to do the time, she should not have committed the crime. Betcha she has a relapse being they are putting her back in the jail.
Darn rooster is going to end up in a stew if he does not stop crowning underneath my house ever morning, it bounces me off the walls. I think he does it on purpose.
OK, going to get out in the yard today and do some more plants planted and WalMart has roses on sale for 4.18 each and I need a few. I got one plant that really needs a travel permit being I have replanted so many times.
As they say down here ‘yelp, guess I will get out and about’.
Toby
Those folks over there sure don’t like each other, do they.
