We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail
Hope your weekend was enjoyable and productive, and you're ready for the week ahead!
Let's hope the news stories which reflect in some measure our national interests move away from Paris What's-her-name!
I have to leave in about 30 minutes to get the oil changed on the car. Normally Greg does it, but we have a free coupon.
I got to get four new tires for the car, THAT will cost me a few bucks.
>>Jack McCoy” is going to take “Arthur Branch’s” place as DA
That was on the news last week
I have to leave. I should be back soon.
>>, and this minor cold business is getting so old.
Try this:
Rub your tummy counterclockwise while waving a dead chicken over your head.

I’ve been thinking of coming up with a mockery of global warming - something akin to astrological signs.
You know...if you were born a Leo, you tend to enjoy SUVs, lawn tractors, and let your bedroom TV on while you sleep.
I said goodbye to all my company over the week-end and have been busy cleaning inside and outside. My flowers needed some immediate attention since we have had very little rain. We had a wonderful visit. They are such good friends and I am blessed to know them. The couple in the large motor-home came a few days early and I was playing catch-up for a few days.
The fellow did so many repairs around the house, I sure appreciated it too. He would rather be busy than sitting around. I still felt like I should have paid him something for all the work he did, but he was happy to be busy.
The fellows stayed close to home while the ladies and I went to the antique shops in the area.
We all went to Metamora and went on the Canal Ride, one of the working canals left in Indiana and the only operating wooden aqueduct in the world. The tour guide was a former teacher from Calif. and he was quite good...gave us quite an Indiana history lesson. Indiana state law requires that all 5th graders study Indiana history...a good thing, I think! There were 50+ kids waiting to go on the canal boat when we got off ...5th graders from a summer class.
Every evening we had a good rousing game of Tripley......very enjoyable time. I didn't keep up with the news of the nation or world...just relaxed and visited.
I have noticed that the format has changed for ATRW....I like it. Thanks to Molly and Lysie to help keep this "place" of sanity and calm going....Freerepublic seems to still be doing a shake-down cruise.
Prayers for all that need them....... Toby, your family will be home soon.......enjoy the peace and quiet. ;o)
WRONG!!!!!
That would be Scorpio. Guilty, as charged.
It isn’t necessary to have visitors to have your gardens go to weeds. We’ve had so much rain the Prairie has just crept right into the flowers. I spent a couple of hours out there this morning and made only a small dent in it.
Now I’ll be playing catch up all day with other household chores.
I’m beginning to realize that retirement will only mean ‘guilt’ that everything isn’t in tip top shape. When you’re working you have an excuse. :>(
Make that: 8:(
Who is Jack McCoy?
NewsBee, glad your week went so well! Welcome back!
lysie, thanks so much for the wishes...these sniffles, and throat business just slow me down a little. I still made it to quilting, but just don't feel very energetic. How's your garden going?
Raven, I don't know if this fits your scenario vis a vis GW, but I'm a Sagittarius, born on the Gulf Coast who loves it HOT! IOW, bring on the GW, baby!
Dog, Fouad Ajami is holding forth on Prager's show. Oh he is so excellent, talking about the "belligerant self-pity" that dominates the Muslim world.
He's been to Iraq now 7 times. Privately many tell him how glad they are we're there, but they lack courage to proclaim it more widely and openly.
Ajami's been criticizing the NYTimes, academia with their anti-American biases.
Toby, hang out here, and we'll keep you company til your family returns.
A friend of mine had to have a difficult break mended with a screw 2 years ago, and now she's going thru her second bout of this inflamed condition. It sounds horrible, and looks it, and she says it's common with plates and screws in bodies. Yikes!
Luckily, tho she travels a lot, she was home when this latest episode started, and she got help quickly.
Afternoon.
Funny you should ask. I just came in from planting 2 rows of purple beans and putting a plastic fence up to keep our dogs from trampling the garden.
We are expecting some rain and I'm sure that will give the veggies a boost. They look good, but a good natural soaking will do the trick.
Do you have a vegetable garden?
As I was coming home from getting the car's oil changed I stop at a corner vegetable stand. Oh my! What great 'maters I got...baseball size 3/$1.00 and she begged me to let her GIVE me more. I told her thanks, but perhaps someone in need would like them and to save them for that person.
We met Dennis Farina, btw, 2 years ago in Steubenville, OH. He was there for Dean Martin weekend. We were there for something else...LOL!
So now they need to replace the ADA character...
No, not enough sun, really for a vegetable garden...well I think about it, but it'd have to be in the front yard!
Greg is out of town tonight so I'm making a huge salad with one of those tomatoes.
It can be caused by just a superficial cut, from normal bacteria on the skin or other bacterium. THAT'S why it really is important to follow those rules we all learned in grade school about quickly washing a cut out and watching it carefully after Neosporin and bandaging etc.
Good afternoon ATRW friends, we've been traveling and I've not had a lot of time to check in. This week will be busy like that, mid to end of the month we will be more settled.
Typical-looking cellulitis although it can be less or more dramatic looking than this.
oops
hardware and surgery, that is.
Note to self: Preview is my friend.
