Contribute to Jon Bruning who has declared that he is running against Hagel in the 2008 primary.

Encourage primry challengers for Lindsay Graham, who is up for reelection in 2008.

I don’t know much about the organization, but Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC) is setting its sights on some of the more vulnerable congressmen, like Graham, and searching for challengers to them.

If anyone knows of a good, reputable group that gets results, please let us know!

Press Congress and the Senate to fully fund the fence.

My letter to Sen Specter (coauthor of the "Grand Bargain for Illegals"):

If you vote for this immigration bill, I will support your opposition in the primary. If you succeed in winning the party's nomination, I will vote for the Democrat regardless of who it is.

Least we forget how all this got done, Kill the HR 3302

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1827798/posts

Without open commentary on "talk radio" we would have 30 million new welfare cases just waiting to buy mome and popie, Uncle Julio and the rest bus tickets north so we can have 120 million in the new peasant class.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_Doctrine
As of early 2007, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), along with Representatives Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), and Louise Slaughter (D-NY) have announced their support of legislation which would reverse the 1987 FCC decision and restore the Fairness Doctrine.[4][5]

It has been routinely criticized by conservatives in the media as a means of keeping their views from being expressed or of deliberately cutting their available air time in half.[6]

What’s next for immigration? Complaints, protests, insults and threats against Bush by “The Base”. No blame on congress, which writes these bills. In other words, same ol’, same ol’.

1 focus on deporting illegal alien criminals with existing agents.
2 Continue to demand massive deportations.
3 Press for jail time for employers that hire illegal aliens.

If you do #3 first, you won't have to do # 2. They will either leave themselves or come legally

# 1 should be on ongoing since day one and in fact is the real problem in the first place

“If we show some serious backbone, many will self deport.”

Self deportation is the key in my opinion. Enforcement of existing laws will reduce the overall problem substantially.

Reduce the problem before you try to deal with it in other ways...

Oh yeah!
We need to push a NEW bill called "FEDS." 1) FENCE (build it) 2) ENFORCE (the law) 3) DEPORT (as many as possible) 4) SANCTION (all employers who violate the law)
While the 4 things you mention need to be done you're doing the same the the current group of twits is doing...bundling!
One thing at a time! Build the fence. When that is DONE, and only then, move on to steps 2-4. These are individual steps, not a bunch of steps that can be lumped together. There is no expectation of any of them getting done if they're all passed at the same time. IMO that's one of the problems with the bill now...too much at one time.
As masters of incrementalism you would think that such a thing would be a natural for Democrats. Perhaps it's just an "issue specific" thing and illegal immigration isn't as "issue specific" as say gun control.

What is wrong with enforcing the immigration laws now on the books?

If an armed invader was pouring across the Mexican border would we stand helplessly by wringing our hands and let the invaders take the country?

Whether the invaders are armed or unarmed, the result is the same. The invaders occupy territory, seize resources and change the laws, custom and language of the invaded country.

No civilized nation in the past has ever survived such a massive demographic shift as we are being subjected to.

And no great nation has ever been invaded by 12 to 20 million invaders. Even the Mongol Horde did not number that many.

“Send contributions directly to solid patriotic candidates. “

There is another thread about conservatives “leaving the GOP”

I think you are on to something here, however, the solution would be for conservatives to organize a separate funding entity within the GOP. This would influence the GOP more than witholding contributions, or sending them to alternate candidates- because there would be a visible sign of the support that conservative positions have within the GOP.

I have no idea how this might be accomplished, only that I am sure it can be accomplished. If there were an alternative place to send political contributions - not a PAC but within the GOP itself, then the party can be brought back toward a more conservative postion.

This would also force the GOP to actively reject conservatives if they wanted to stop this - providing a funding base for an alternate party if this unfortunate eventuality were to occur.

Right now if and individual, or a corporation wants to gain political influence, you have to donate to Satan, or Satan’s little brother. A “conservative GOP” alternative would be a sure test of conservative political legs. I’d like to know if they can truly stand by themselves in todays political environment.

Just sayin’......

One other idea; start deporting all illegals who are arrested for committing a crime, and charging a $5,000 fee before they are deported - otherwise they sit in a jail near the border. This would be like a pre-payment on the $5,000 amnesty fee in the Kennedy-McCain bill.

Greg

They could make the law state that if the mother is a U.S. citizen then the child is a U.S. citizen. The way it works overseas is if the mother is U.S. then the citizenship is automatic, if the father is U.S. and the mother is foreign national, then the birth has to be registered with the U.S. Embassy with avidavits etc for proof of U.S. citizenship. An illegal in the U.S. should not be treated better than a U.S. citizen living overseas.

Wanna know what’s next for immigration “rights”? Now they want federal student loans for illegals (never to repay, of course):

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/4875270.html

I guess we don’t really need those tax dollars, with our record high national debt (that doesn’t even figure in social security “obligations”)?

"Comments?"

YES....JUST A REMINDER FOR ALL WHO THINK WE'VE 'WON'....REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED ON S2611 -

"all the GOP lawmakers who spoke with FOX News were upbeat that the legislation could be revived soon — even within a matter of weeks, with one negotiator noting that last year's bill was first pulled from the floor by then-Majority Leader Bill Frist before it was brought back up again and passed."

Its time to remind Congress who they work for and who pays the bills. It is not illegal aliens. We the AMERICAN People decide if and how we will be governed by our government.

Primary duty of a government is to protect its citizens through national defense and law and order. Since our government refuses to enforce our immigration laws, they are no longer our master. Their surrender of our immigration laws means we are no longer bound to obey any laws as they are a non representative government and their power can and should be revoked. America was founded from a number of unjust actions including taxation without representation.

I suggest each and every person remind their Senators that since they cannot or will not enforce our immigration laws and if they insist on granting amnesty to foreign lawbreakers that they should be prepared for millions of law abiding citizens and businesses to revolt. Each person can revolt in the manner that they feel comfortable with and can do in good conscience. I am not advocating nor suggesting violence, however I am afraid if the Senate has its way that might come to pass. They apparently do not realize that they are sitting on a powder keg while smoking cigarettes.

Senator McCain was afraid we might have riots like in France if the aliens don't get their way. I beg to remind him and al the other pussies on the hill that there are still 300 million Americans and only 20 million illegals. We have the guns and the numbers. Its our homeland, our jobs, our property, our language, our sovereignty that we will be defending.

I suspect if Congress cannot or will not enforce our immigration laws that they will be hard pressed to force its citizens to pay for their Dictatorial laws. Only about 30% of residents in the Colonies were for revolution with England, however they were the determined ones that cherished freedom and lack of oppressive government. I believe today there are far more than 50% of Americans who are fed up with the President and Senate and are ready and willing to take a stand. That is over 100 million Americans.

I imagine the Senators received more than one million calls and faxes in the last three weeks. I wonder if their FU attitude towards the taxpayers and voters would change if they got several million letters or faxes telling them that should they pass this amnesty that they will have to pass a tax amnesty or try and enforce their various tax laws against tens of millions of citizens and businesses. Certainly they could not justify arresting citizens after granting amnesty to foreigners who failed to pay taxes? Would that not be disparate treatment? What happened to equal protection under the law? Would a jury with one Patriot on it convict or nullify?

Would President Bush push so hard for this amnesty if he thought he might get impeached by his own supporters? Is he that far out of the loop to not realize how close he really is to getting ganged up on by both sides? Why not let the Whitehouse know how you feel?

We need to learn from the Civil Disobedience of days past and be prepared to do what is necessary to save our government or failing that form a new one as outlined by our founders of this great nation. Apparently the illegal foreigners are prepared to take civil disobedience actions, should we be prepared also?
