It is a shame the accuser is essentially judgement-proof.

Maybe Duke will think twice next time before piling on and trying to ruin dozens of lives with out one shred of proof any law was broken.

"Coach Pressler is an excellent coach and did a great job building the Duke men's lacrosse program," John Burness, Duke's vice president for public affairs, told The Associated Press. "Unfortunately last spring it was essential for the team to have a change of leadership in order to move forward.

LOL, what a croc. They should of had a change of leadership with the president and the gang of 88 for letting innocent people be railroaded.

Duke will settle with everyone now. They can not afford to have open discovery, so they will settle early and at unfavorable terms to Duke.

If I were a Duke Alum, I would certainly demand an accounting as to how much in total the Brodhead administration and the faculty had cost Duke from their mishandling of the case.

If any of my grandchildren ever says they want to go to Duke,I’ll disown them.

The way the university treated this coach and the 4 young men is inexcusable.

An absolute disgrace.

Though the university would not disclose terms of the deal, a school official confirmed Thursday that Duke reached "an amicable, fair financial settlement" with Pressler a few months ago.

In other news, Duke University has announced that it will sell all of the buildings on the Eastern half of the campus and naming the remaining buildings on the western half "Property of Mike Pressler."

At the same press conference, Duke's President, Richard Brodhead introduced a new uniform that he himself will be wearing for the next two semesters. The uniform consists of a pink tu-tu, green spandex tights and a plain white shirt with his name "Dick" in large letters across his chest. The President says the uniform represents an experiment in tolerance and diversity and added that he welcomes the opportunity to proclaim himself a doo-doo head.

I’m really sick and tired of the way that college football and basketball are sold to the public as this “rah rah” celebration of old fashioned Americana, complete with brass bands and fresh faced cheerleaders. Meanwhile, our college campuses have been transformed into commie boot camps by the left wing professors and administrators.

Conservative sports fans can console themselves by saying “I’ll bet ‘Pa Joe ain’t no liberal”, “I’ll bet old Bobby Bowden ain’t no commie”, “I’ll bet Bobby Knight doesn’t hang out with professors from the women’s studies department”.

Well I say to hell with all of them. The magnificent “Coach K” is the most well known person at Duke. What has he said about this scandal? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. If he ain’t part of the solution, he’s part of the problem.

Sure would be nice if conservative sports fan would boycott the Bowl games and March madness. Well I can dream, can’t I?

Shame on all of us for watching these games and helping to finance these cesspoools of America hatred. I love sports as much as the next guy, but enough is enough.

He and Duke reached an amicable, fair financial settlement

That tells me that is was not enough.

Anyway, what do Burness and Dickhead care? It's not their money.

I guess part of the settlement is that Duke is allowed to just keep making up lies and refusing to acknowledge their many mistakes.

Well, I’m glad that being a stand-up guy paid off for Pressler. Usually, the Coaches fold and go with the Admin. I agree to the extent that most people believe because there are sports on campus that it’s still the good old days. Maybe it is somewhere, but not where I’ve been.

It’s a business — a very lucrative business and there’s no saying otherwise. It’s slavery for the kids who play (at least in football), and they are like tissue in a petri dish. Their food is measured, their excrement is measured, their performances are measured. They are like cattle who are plumped up on hormone (or juiced, if you prefer) and they have NO LIVES and they have targets on their backs. Big, bright, neon targets that glow in the dark.

It’s amazing to watch my son discover a world out of his prison. He’s had a rough time giving up the discipline, but he’s discovering there are so many more options. He’s discovered life. It was VERY PAINFUL, but all-in-all, I think we’ve survived it and are better persons for it.

As part of the settlement he should have insisted on the firing of the Duke 88.
