HORN: What are some examples of genuine predictions made by the exploded planet hypothesis, or EPH?

VAN FLANDERN: Here is a list of ten major predictions that have now been validated but for which the results were unknown at the time the predictions were made:

How exactly does a planet “explode”?

Well, for one thing, there's no sound when it does (at least, not from the viewpoint of another planet or a spacecraft) -- unlike what we're used to in sci-fi shows...

TVF attempts to answer this in a few different ways, but that's always been a problem for the model. He's convinced because of the good fit between observations and his model (the ten things above, etc). Comet focusing is also explained by one version (Matese') of planet X (that is, an unknown, large planet is out past Neptune, kickin' the comets into the inner solar system). My view is that there are a series of explanations for each of these observations, although I don't necessarily reject the idea of exploding bodies.

Yeah, TVF's attachment to the "Face on Mars" nonsense makes him look like a crank, and appears to me to be a detriment to his otherwise highly recommended book. :')

Artificial Structures on Mars.

Dolphin, Arrow, various symbols, triangles...maybe, maybe not, IMO the question remains open.
