Actually this list itself ain't bad, it's just most of the songs that are [deleted]. But not all, of course -- there's plenty of yacht rock to love. And who better to rank these tunes than VH1? There must be some holdovers from before the celebreality pox. Say what you will about this list, but we're with #1 (love us some Chris Cross). Also, whatever happened to the Yacht Rock guys? Weren't they developing something for VH1? Maybe they'll talk about it when it airs tomorrow. Too bad we won't be watching.
The 70s version of Ginger or Mary Anne - Frida or Agnetha.
Lamm, not lamb. Oops. Yes, he sang at least as much as the others. I gave up on them when Kath died, so their next 10 albums I have no clue what went on.
Nah, too sappy, but I think Gord’s “Sundown” is a great tune.
Oh, wait.
The blonde I think is our retired Freeper PaulaB, so I’m told
Yeah, it is sappy.
She must have burned her bra earlier that day.
What about Jim Croce for Pete’s sake.
You're not missing anything! :-)
Thank you!
Epstien?
I figgered. LOL
There is NO rock in 70s “soft rock”. It is fern bar music for the post-rock set.
It is lounge bar music. NOT rock. Not soft rock. NO rock content at all.
I think the same of some of the prog rock nonsense that came from the late 60s and 70s. That ain’t rock and roll.
And they forgot Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds. The list is clearly incomplete.
I'd probably opt for Agnetha.
Billy Joel, Elton John, Rita Coolidge, Linda Rondstadt...
LMAO!
