Let's put this under the category of "all good things must come to an end."
For the vast majority of 2,264 days, I have had the distinct honor and priviledge of starting this thread for the benefit of all who frequent this place.
It has been a blessing and one I will remember for the rest of my days.
Having been here through the start of the Iraq War, the immigration battles (which are still going on), hurricane KATRINA, and through all of it holding true to the Constitution, and the goal of improving the "American Way of Life". What I have learned in that time is that there are so many others who believe in these same principles--often there are those who express these things more elequontly than myself.
Demands on my life at this point, however, are dictating a change. I am finding it less and less possible to carve out the time to be faithful and true to the thread. I have kids getting ready for college, major turmoil at work (not my doing, but I'm stuck in it), and competing hobbies.
I will just cut right to it, I don't have the time in the morning anymore like I used to.
Thus, it is with a heavy heart that I have concluded this will be the last time I intend to start the ATRW thread. I would still like to be a member of this august group, but I think I would much prefer to post when I have time, because I need to get some time back to myself--particularly in the morning as I figure out what I need to do during the day.
I realize this is sudden and I apologize. I do hope, and I believe, that you folks will carry on. I am not leaving FreeRepublic, just becoming more of a "back bencher" for awhile. I wish to remain on ATRW's ping list for as long as ATRW continues.
I hope everyone understands. I'm just burned out.
Thanks.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Happy Birthday to Sarah! No matter how old our children get, they are still our “little girls” or “little boys”.
I'm not familiar with that word. It looks french...maybe something to do with rising? So is that perhaps like phototropism? Or perhaps redundant?
Chair....:::applauding::
You did a fantastic job!
Thank you!
This thread started my day in the FR way!
I am reading a book called “The 4hour work week”,
in there he writes that to have a productive day to enjoy other things in life we must do things that are not time wasters.
I work from home and love to stop by in the morning to say Hi to all here, but than I found myself spending way to much productive time in the morning on forums, reading emails etc.
I too need to spend productive morning time getting my work done first to have quality time later on to enjoy other pursuits.
See you somewhere on the boards.......

unexpected but welcome (my words) growth in a plant
Oh...I should keep reading. :)
In what context would growth be unexpected?
Hi hon, he’s a WHOLE lot better tonite.
Downstairs right now yelling at his mom for more french fries ;-)
“More french fries!”...........Now, there’s a good sign that Zay is better. Happy to hear that!
Many thanks to both of you for volunteering. The plan/schedule sounds quite workable to me.
Mr. Prairie and I have had a trying day. My In-laws have put off estate planning to practically any degree, here they are in their 80’s without even a will. They thought some papers they’d signed throughout the years were sufficient. They aren’t.
We’ve been to the lawyers office with them and found out $800 will be the fee to fix up even a simple trust for their small (very small actually) estate. And that amount is huge to their monthly fixed income with living expenses rising all the time.
Estate planning is never easy but this has been extra hard today on us. The lawyer might as well have been speaking Russian to my Father in law. M-I-L does understand the reasons to try to avoid probate.
sigh...
VERY happy that grandbaby is better - that's a birthday you all won't forget.
Are you all going to put Chair's final thread over 100? I'll have to check back tomorrow..g'nite.
Thank you very much for all you've done. Seven years is a long time.
IMO, you are a patriot. I have said this to about four people in my life, and I will say it now...even though you're a Squid...
I would consider it an honor to share a foxhole with you. IMO, we would come out of it in one piece.
Take care my FRiend.

Nita, you are always needed, sweetie, we miss you when you aren’t here. Your input always has some good thoughts and some funny ones too.
Yup, I think we’ll make it today.
Chair, thank you for the wonderful years you have put into ATRW. Your openings have been inspirational, erudite and on target. Hopefully, in your “retirement” you will have time to bless us with your continued analysis of all things government.
Jemian, I hope to see you when you return home.
Hi prairie - regarding your in=laws estate planning - if you’ve been to a lawyer you probably already know this, but our financial planner pointed out to us within the past year that there is a new provision to the law that allows you to add beneficiaries to your IRA’s (in our case our sons) that avoids probate and estate taxes for them upon your death.
(doing my part to get this thread to 100 today)
I shall put that in my list of things to do, places to go and people to see.
Thanks ladies
Hope you are doing well sweetie.
I went downstairs and made coffee and went to put Daisy out but soon discovere3d there is/was a skunk out there roaming about.
Pewwwww
We didn’t get rained out...but we lost anyway.
Your turn
