BUMP!
Must be a random generator on the site, or somethin’, here’s what I found there, also cool:
“The greater the difficulty the more glory in surmounting it. Skillful pilots gain their reputation from storms and tempests.” — Epicurus
Yeah, that’s it, I reloaded the page and found this quote:
“A pilot lives in a world of perfection, or not at all.” — Richard S. Drury
“Take from the altars of the past the fire - not the ashes”— Jean Jaures
Old Air Force addage...
I still like the story about a test pilot who was bringing in his crippled aircraft.
They called the base fire trucks to be ready for an emergency landing.
The test pilot landed belly up, skidding and smoking along the runway. The pilot was able to extract himself from the burning aircraft.
The fire trucks roar up to the scene, and the fire chief runs over to the test pilot and asks, "What happened?"
The pilot smiles and looks at him and says, "I don't Know... I just got here myself!"
LOL!
