The popular Frank Sinatra song "My Way" has been taken off many karaoke bars in Manila after it was found to be the cause of fights and even deaths when patrons sang out of tune. I'm not sure why, but this really struck me funny.
Maybe it was the Chablis.

Traveled to the Philippines on vacation a while ago, asked the bellman at a relatively upscale hotel about a bar mentioned in the travel guide.
Bellman looks at me. Security guard looks at bellman. Both insisted I should not go.
(naturally I had to, at that point)
I think the Philippines is the only place I’ve ever been, where even the hotel doorman was armed.
