I think this line lost something in the trnaslation.
I agree with this policy, the only thing worse than getting hit by the beverage cart is getting side swiped by a fat stewardess - I mean flight attendant.
If safety doesn’t get them to slim down, how about a carbon surcharge? Make them buy carbon credits for all the extra co2 generated hauling the excess baggage around the friendly skies.

Same rules in the 50’s when my Mom was a stew...they weighed them everyday.
the last couple of times I’ve flown Delta internationally, the term “wide-body” didn’t only apply to the aircraft..every one, and I mean every one of the flight attendants were “waistline challenged”. they were surly, impatient and obnoxious..I switched to United. Much friendlier and better food IMHO..
Funny, you don’t see too many overweight Indian chicks.
Kinda like the overweight security guards we have in the hospital..cant move very fast at all!
They need to enforce this in the US as well. Between the porky stewardesses and the poofers, flying has become much less pleasant.
I guess that means Al Gore has to pay extra carbon surcharges to fly :))
They tried, then the courts decided the weight limits were discriminatory because they had different guidelines for men and women.

I think we should have half naked hetero men - like firemen or fighter pilots, yeah... that’ll make me wanna fly more often.

Hooters can do it in their restaurants, it sure as hell should be legal for airlines.
Yes, that would be an airline based out of SF with direct flights to NYC and Miami and Seattle.
