AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2261) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 1, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 06/01/2007 4:29:35 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

The horror.

This morning the Washington Pravda (called the Post by the evangelists of the left) is running a piece that leaves absolutely no comfort whatsoever in the hearts of those desiring to protect the American Way.

President Bush appears to have caved on the subject of Global Warming.

No kidding.

The President yesterday took the initiative to put the United States out in front in agreeing to goals for reducing so-called greenhouse gas emissions--in particular, carbon dioxide. The President outlined this in his speech for his priorities at the G8 summit next week in Germany.

The problem is fundamental. Carbon dioxide is the end product of the process of combustion--the key to liberating energy from the most efficient of fuels. While it is true there is more than simply a casual relationship between the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the ability to retain radient energy (the planet would be unlivable if this were not true as the surface temperature would be well below zero), no one has been able to answer a fundamental question--what is the mathematical relationship between the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and temperature change. Is it linear? Doesn't appear to be, otherwise planet temperatures would be far higher now as carbon levels have gone up by tens of percentage points over the last decades. So what is it?

Talk has been made of a so-called "tipping point", the point at which carbon dioxide levels would cause temperature increases. Again--what is that level? No one seems to be able to have an answer.

Then there is the anecdotal information available to everyone. Supposedly the planet is warming, but there have been record snowfalls over the northern United States in recent years--indeed, just a couple of years ago northern Virginia received over 60 inches of snow during the winter!

Simply stated, from iceagenow.com, you cannot say its getting warmer when the refrigerator is getting colder.

As has been pointed out on numerous occassions, the meteorological process that generates the east coast blizzards associated with the nor'easter storms requires the collision between warm and cold air masses. As cold air cannot hold as much water vapor as warm air (and the colder the air, the less water vapor it holds), the moisture is squeezed out of the tropical portion of the storm and falls. The greater this temperature difference, the more efficient the process--in other words, more precipitiation. Of course, if the difference is great enough, the cold side is below freezing at the surface, causing snow.

It is also well established that soil changes temperature far more readily than water (in fact, changing the temperature of water requires the transfer of more energy per unit of mass than just about any other substance). People usually intuitively know this--that's why we throw water on a fire to put it out.

Intuition would also suggest that if snowfall levels are increasing, then the process for creating such must be working better--and that there is more cold air available to create the outcome.

Problem is, all the hot air surrounding the subject of global warming is apparently melting people's common sense.

Unfortunately, the President seems to have joined that crowd.

Say good bye to prosperity.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

He is on the downside of deployment. Soon, in the autumn after I return here in August, I’ll be heading back to the states for a grand and glorious reunion.

For once, I am looking forward to going home. I think my health is just wearing me down. Also, a lot of my friends have left the area and it is hard for me to make new friends. I’ve been very lonely this past year and that didn’t help with my depression.

I am looking forward to sitting on the swing in my rose garden and letting the sun and Scripture and the beauty of creation and the lack of pressure and the knowledge the electricity will run refresh my soul.

JT is also doing very well. That guy is so twitterpated there is no discussing anything with him.

One of my friends, but also a very good friend of LionsDaughter’s, has a boyfriend graduating into Airborne at Benning on the 15th. I’ve been invited to attend. I am honored to accept.

>>I worry about those who are termed “highly territorial”.

I did too,

but the dogs are reported to be lovey-dovey

We’ll see.

Good Morning! Cloudy and the rain is on its way HERE!

You said a mouthful, Rave, when you said this election will not be about abortion or immigration but rather the loss of our freedoms.

I am also dismayed over President Bush's veering, but I will not give up hoping that somehow Republicans in the House will succeed in dumping the present immigration bill.

All leaders (and individuals) make mistakes, and IMO this is a colossal one. As has been pointed out, the President has been hammered from every direction since the day he took office. He's human....and weakening, so like sharks, his adversaries are closing in for the kill.

The possibility of Dems capturing the White House is a very present danger, and for that reason, we MUST keep the faith even though some are falling by the wayside.

It's time he goes on the offensive.

So much of his presidency he has been fighting a defensive battle, and allowing his opponents to dictate the battlefield.

I wish he'd come out, and choose his own battlefield, and then just hammer them. These people are not that bright.

He's unwilling to do that.

I so can relate to this.

Anywhoooooo, you will so much enjoy the graduation...

I really need to get my funky arse in the shower and get moving here. If I spend one more weekend day secluded in my room, I think I will lose my mind once and for all.

I’m also on my way out. It has been fun and I’m glad we broke 100.

That’s right...we need to shift gears, before we don’t know what hit us.

I agree with your assessment, Raven, except I never thought socialism was dead...maybe dormant, like a virus...but not dead.

Bee, I hope you're enjoying your company

prairie, I've had the same thoughts about our families' irresponsible behavior and that fact that they are homeless. But there are some who've just hit a patch of bad luck thru no real fault of their own. But yes, some of them show poor life skills. And the children are the ones who pay a price. It's sad.

No I never heard of that ball player.

Last night Cleveland sports fans were treated for the second night in a row to an amazing game. We're going crazy here! LOL! And tonite, the area around Jacobs Field and the Q, right across the alley, will be jammed with thousands and thousands of people. My goodness, it's exciting to be a n.e. Ohio/Clevelander right now!

We need to stand up and say things like “ARE YOU PEOPLE OUT OF YOUR MINDS?”

The journalists are all stupid, so they’ll give the Dems a free pass.

"Journalists are stupid"

I heard Joe Klein on Hewitt last night...he was more than stupid. My gosh! Angry, and malevolent at times...

Hi Neets,

So glad to hear little Zay is home. Was his stay in the hospital because of that virus you mentioned or was it a concussion or a combination of both? Poor little guy. And it’s tough on Mom and Grandma too.
