"Today is a day to pay tribute to those who have fought for our country, honor those who have survived their wounds and quietly say thanks for those who have given their all. Thank you to all who have served in our military."

Very well said....Tillacum.

We are just back from Memorial services....very moving..and a nice attendance for our little town.

GOOD ‘LATE START TODAY’ CHAIR, ALL, RUNNING ALL AROUND GETTING STUFF READY FOR AFTERNOON BAR-B-Q FOR THE NEIGHBORS!!!!

I put up my 48 star flag today, just to be different. I got a real big one but have nothing big enough to fly it from, I mean a REAL big one. These flags were used in a movie recently before Alaska and Hawaii were made states.
Strange things turn me on I reckon.

SIL cooking up craw fish, shrimp, gonna grill some fish, corn, etc., a real holiday outside meal. I truly wish that you all could be here with us and enjoy a good meal.

Wonder when they are going to have carbon footprint seeds out on the market, good market for them but, the question, WOULD I give up grit seeds for planting?

My Mother Earth News came in today, I really like to read the stories in it, a little wacko on wind power and solar but some good artices on gardening.

I hear them yelling for me, speck they need something from the store, talk to you later.

Toby

Well, Molly and All, I am listening to Dennis Prager's show dedicated to our fallen heroes, and there are some incredible stories of heroism.

The one I can't get out of my mind was the one told on Bill Bennett's show earlier this morning. Forgive me for not remembering this great American hero's name, and only remembering enough of the story to relate it to you.

The hero called and asked permission from command to pull back, as he was overwhelmed. He was told in no uncertain terms to, under no circumstances, pull back, but to hold the hill.

He was later found, on the forward downside of the hill. Every grenade launched, every round spent, and his bayonet in a Japanese soldier.

Very nice photo’s.

thanks for posting

Now they think Zay has that children’s virus,,,”Rotavirus”?? and a bacterial infection on top of that. He had a 103.4 fever earlier but it went down some after motrin. They are starting him on an antibiotic. He kept about 4 oz of pedialyte down before i left him an hour ago and smiled at me and waved goodbye when I left.

Headed back up there for a few so R can come home and shower and regroup.

Good evening.

I'm feeling quite well because I seemed to have accomplished something in my gardens.

Since Impatiens love water they are great as shallow water plants. I rigged up a floating planter with heavy duty pink household styrfoam and pantyhose.(Keeps the fish from nibbling the roots of the plants.)

Thanks toots.

Gramma is holding up well but thats because i’ve been down this road before with his mom...

One good thing about all of this is that my daughter works at the hospital so in a sense they tend to take care of their own and because she works in the lab she can get the results fairly quickly.

Lysie, my mom of course is up to her usual self-centered antics because she has been left “alone” for parts of the days...phttttttttttttt

I am a bit winded now and am going to sit with a fresh cup of coffee and have a cig and relax for a few.

Prayers that the meds work fast, and Zay gets better soon!
This kind of thing can zap the snap right out of you and R, too.
Take care.
Hugs!
