As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
The New York Times is reporting the White House is debating major troops level cuts in Iraq for 2008.
On the globull warming front--Pikes Peak has had its snowiest winter in more than a decade.
And gas prices have retreated slightly in advance of the Memorial Day weekend.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Night all.
Good Morning to the Dawn Patrol.
please let us know how your ‘water situation’ is this morning. I read about the ponding you’re witnessing and know you are expecting more rain today.
It sounded like you’re on high ground. I sure hope so!
Good morning. BB in a few. Off to make coffee.
Good Morning Sweetie. Lovely breakfast this morning.
Thanks lysie, and good morning to all...

A noted astronomer at Iowa State University has been denied tenure presumably because he believes in Intelligent Design:
I watched the 500 race parade yesterday, it was a big success......the rain held off and there was a great crowd for the parade...sold out. A friend and her husband drove their classic car in the parade, they didn’t know who would ride in their convertible. Hope they knew who was riding in their car....I don't know most of these young celebrities....just the older movie stars....I thought I saw their Lincoln convertible but didn't know the young girl riding in it.
Hope everyone has a great week-end.....enjoy your cook-outs, listen to the race on the radio and if you travel, be safe!
Hi, Newsbee. We are back from Church and a late breakfast. I am watching the weather, but it looks like this will be rained out unless we get real lucky.
I haven’t been to the parade in years. I remember going back when I was a kid and standing on a newstand roof near the Circle. That was a LONG time ago, before they put up bleachers! LOL!
Good morning, Miss Marple.........the Indy news channels are all saying that there will be a break in the clouds and that the race will be run today. Hope they are right!
I have been watching John Wayne movies this week-end....and I am about Wayned out....if that is possible..haha....”The Quiet Man” was on and I watched it again...one of my favorites....I have lots of John Wayne favorite movies...”The Searchers”, the scenery is terrific in this movie and I love the movie..”The Cowboys” even though John Wayne dies in it....I bawl everytime I see it.
My Dad always loved John Wayne movies....so we saw most of them at the theatre, we went to the movies most Friday nights...Sat. nights, Dad played at a local dance and we went as a family...sure made it hard to get up and go to church the next morning.
Should we call it Americal the left way - since no one is “left” [ hee hee ] ?
Or everyone left the site?
Happy Holiday !!!
Good afternoon.
Grampashy took me to Fort Drum yesterday to see the newest memorial statue and area that were dedicated Friday afternoon. Very moving - located directly across from the base commander’s office so he can look out his window and see it.
Am spending a good part of today on ancestry-dot-com because they are providing complimentary access to U.S. military records dating back to the 1700’s. This access is available to anyone through June 6. So far I have added two Union Civil War soldiers to the family tree. Will tackle 1812 and the Revolutionary Wars through the week. It can be time consuming due to the spelling varieties of family names, but very rewarding if you stick with it.
Raining here today, but should be nice tomorrow. Enjoy your week-end, everyone!
Oh! I bet you are delighted.
Long time no see.
It looked like Watertown got clobbered., today.
