As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
Quick start--actually going to be a very busy day here at the office as the weekend looms.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Those are fantastic glasses, lysie. I have a couple of patterns without the designs. I’m a glass/crystal freak.
Wow...this is my second try at this post....I typed it out and sent it -—and it isn’t there.
Anyway
The Elk Point SD contest in the Sioux City Paper is about this secret project. Someone is trying to buy a lot of cornfields and the local mayor has signed a non-disclosure and isn’t talking.
Guesses are Toyota plant or oil refinery.
I had that happen last night and this morning.
Good morning, everyone.
Those glasses are fun. Kind of 50-ish.
Good morning.
Raining here.
All...Good morning. More showers I expect...darkish and cloudy...
Good morning, Molly! We had a little rain last night, but we sure could use more!
Good morning. We dodged the Tstorms last night, but today I’m not sure that will happen.
Not sure if I mentioned it, but after about 15 years, I declined to continue as church gardener. It was time to move on, and let someone else step in, and it's such a relief not to have to even think about the tasks to handle there in May, and thru out the summer.
I think you’ve been hit by other storms tho the past 2 weeks, right? We’ve had nothing, basically, for weeks....Maybe one shower and that was all...
I’m going to get dressed, and may head out to the discount store and exercise before the new thread is up...will see...
I'm sure that was a hard decision for you to make. Others will step up, now.
It is so dry here; we have some major cracks. Hope they’re filling up and coming together.
I deep watered some spots, too, Molly, in hopes that those areas would absorb the rain better.
And when I made the decision and told the minister, he just smiled and said, "okay", so that told me something too.
Our church structure has fallen apart the past years. When I started the tasks so long ago, it was under the umbrella of the women's fellowship group, but that ceased to exist some years ago, and I continued except for the spring when my MIL was dying, so it would have been better not to pick up again after that spring.
Kudos to you for your fifteen years of garden service!
It’s quite long enough, and it’s time for someone else to take on the task.
How is Carolyn adjusting to home?
My wife picked up Letters from Iwo Jima for me to watch, and I just finished most of it.
I turned it off when I could see what was coming, and again Clint Eastwood has made decisions that show America has dishonorable and the Japanese as compassionate and kind.
I am incensed not because they show the human side of the Japanese fighting at Iwo Jima, but because he decides to show Americans as barbaric and without mercy. Without giving too much away in the movie, he takes the typical liberal approach to make the American soldier without conscience. Knowing how Americans have for the most part treated prisoners with mercy and kindness, Eastwood ignores that completely. He could have taken a different direction and does not!
We are a compassionate nation in times of peace and war. To depict us as something other than that does a tremendous diservice to all of the Americans who have fought and died for this country! I know that not every American soldier is honorable... but 99/100 are.
I don't understand how these Hollywood people, who have made it rich in a country that has given them that freedom to do so, can continue to bloody the face of America!
I've had it with Eastwood. Until he understands what this country is truly all about, I won't bother to watch anything he ever directs again.
She's finally adjusted from the jet lag, and is doing well. She has a summer class coming up, a counseling position for some high school groups coming into the University for summer camp, and will act as a host for incoming freshman. She has a lot on her plate, but is excited to be home once again!
