" A meeting with head of FBI-SS-CIA, Sec's of Defense & others. Have ordered they be given back their ability to function...Hostages will arrive in country tomorrow. It seems some of them had some tough questions cor Carter in Germany as to why they were there so long and why they were there to begin with."
President Reagan speaks from the grave. Take that Carter.
WOW! NYT and bikers.
We are well, kassie. Thanks.
Got to report on the shrimp boil this morning, Cajun style.
The workers from VA, W. Va, Maryland came down here to help refurbish some dwellings that were in need of repair and, the owners had no money.
First off, my hat is off to them, each and every one of them, there is still good in he folks in this country, well, some of them anyhow. I am talking kids from 12 up, parents, grandparents, friends to the families, it makes your heart smile.
Shrimp boil. None have ever experienced anything like it before, Cajun style cooked shrimp with corn and potaotoEs, spicy buy not water drinking spicey. It was soloid ‘awwws, woows’, greats’, not to mention the lasting friendship that was made with us and them. Life is so sweet, and to see the faces on the people who received makes you wear that smile for a long, long time.
Prez didn’t back down on the funding for the troops but did give the dims some gimmies. Hey, did I hear that Lindsey Graham was Boo’d when he went home? I did not hear exactly who it was but thought it was him, excuse me, VICE PRESTDENI Graham.
It is off to some fresh grits and butter at the big house, found out that Jason LOVES grits, like ole PawPaw, we sit together and ‘indulge’. AND while talking of Jason, folks, within 30 days we (D and SIL) will sign the adoption and he will be a part of this family. Next project, a little girl.
I am late in feeding my chicks so, better get out and do my duty. All have a good and safe day, one filled with love and pleasant one. Course the option is always there to have a bad day, one of those cup slinging, foot stomping, ‘kick the cat’ kind of day, Maybe somedays it does the soul good to pitch a fit or two.
Toby
Chair, thanks for the start.
Molly, thanks for the articles to read.
Mware, I can’t wait for our library to get “Reagan Diaries”, I know I will enjoy that book.
Toby, how are the little chicks and turkeys?
My wee little turkeys (for now) are sitting at my front door just chirping up a storm.
Just wondering about those wee turkeys....are you planning on getting eggs from them too, or are they for Thanksgiving dinner?
I read back to you yesterdays post to me about legal immigration, me too, all for it, LEGAL. BUT, if I were in Mexico they would my picture plastered all over everywhere to watch out for ‘Toby’ trying to sneak in, again.
WASHINGTON A New Jersey Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen refused to accept the outcome of an alleged mugging on Thursday night when he foiled a pickpocket attempt in Georgetown.
The incident occurred as Frelinghuysen was walking near his D.C. residence around 9:30 p.m. ET. Police say the 61-year-old congressman was approached by a group of young men when he felt someone grab his wallet from behind.
The seven-term Republican ran after the young suspect just as two Metropolitan Police officers were driving by. They helped apprehend the suspect nearby. The search is still continuing for at least one other suspect.
Frelinghuysen, who represents the Morris County, N.J., area was not injured in the incident.
Trivia Question for today:
The Sioux City Journal, just down the Missouri River in Sioux City, Iowa, is running a contest called “The Big Guess,” offering a flat-screen TV to the reader who correctly predicts it. About 170 people have entered. What is is they’re trying to predict?
