1) Sufjan stevens-Chicago

I can't stand Sufjan Stevens. Too much pop music nowadays tries to be overly cute and artsy instead of, well, musical.

Plus, I don’t have an iPod anyway. I’m deaf enough from years of seeing bands at clubs without spending hour upon hour piping music directly at my eardrums.

We could drop NIN for Leon Russell’s “Manhattan Islan Serenade”.

The new Arcade Fire CD ain’t too bad, from what I’ve heard of it. Most of the stuff coming out nowadays is pretty dismal.

There are only two types of music to listen to and you have listed either. Country and Western. ;-)

Durutti Column, “For Belgian Friends.” Sadly, the studio version isn’t available anywhere. I have it on a 20-year old cassette and I only listen to it once a year, in the hope that it will last me a lifetime.
