For what it’s worth, A woman I know that is Chinese responsed “That is Japanese” when I asked her “is this Chinese?”

She doesn’t speak Japanese, but said is looks Japanese to her.

Actually, and I'm not trying to sound like a smart ass, some of the characters look Klingon. Now, if I were involved in a project to produce a craft like this, I would decorate it with Klingon characters. (Though, I'd make the markings say something like "Stop staring!". These look random.) I'd do it to make any leaked photos seem to be nothing more than a photoshopped hoax.

Looks to me like there's a pretty good match.
