A successful NFL draft has just concluded, reallocating large sums of money from very rich businessmen to rich agents and players.
What is your reaction to what your team did?
How about your reaction to another teams draft?
Dumbest overall draft?
Dumbest reach by an otherwise smart team?

Dallas Cowboys - grade of B+.
Great to get Clevelands' 2008 #1 choice. That was a good bit of wheeling and dealing by Jerry.
But have they really improved next years Cowboys? I don't think so, except marginally. Wade Phillips will make more of a difference than any player they took.
Dumbest draft? Washington Deadskins, who else?

Viking fan here. I give them an A! Although I wanted them to get C. Johnson, I’m ecstatic about Adrian Peterson. My biggest worry is he appeared on the cover of S.I.’s draft issue. I hope the jinx doesn’t apply to the draft too.

For a 4th round pick and a public commitment to eject his misbehaving arse? Worth a shot at a ring. Let’s see how much Randy wants one.

I would certainly give Cleveland an A.
Did they pay too much to get Quinn? Maybe.
But if he becomes their quarterback for the next decade the price that they paid will be cheap.
It is seldom that a trade works out for both teams. This trade may have worked out great for both.

Thinking that they have added a play maker at a major discount. The 4th was an add on to the swapping of picks in the first round that the Pats did with SF.
Minimal downside for the Pats who have already gone on record as saying he’s gone if he acts up.

I agree completely that Moss is an idiot. He hasn’t been great in a couple of years. His work ethic seems to have dropped along with his attitude.
If New England can adjust his attitude then they will do OK.

Mel Kiper of ESPN gave the Pats a C- for what they did.
Fool!!!!
They traded picks into next year’s draft where they now have 5 on day 1, picked up a good receiver in exchange for a second pick and took a risk on a guy who could make their offense downright scary and undefendable with low risk. While other teams are talking about getting better, the Pats served notice that they are going for another SB while leaving a lot of room to have cap money to spend in 2008 with good draft picks.

Well, I won’t be holding my breath waiting to see if Randy will change his on/off field behavior. We’ll see how long he lasts. Bill Belichek won’t tolerate him if he doesn’t.

Peterson was a great get for you. He can sure change an offense--and the defense that plays against him.
As a Giants fan, this marks the first time in 15 years that I was yelling a name at the TV as they were about to make their first pick, and they said the same name.
Overall, I am happy with whom they got although a left OT would have made me a bit happier).

I say BS on the Pats call for sporting news. The Pats didn’t like this draft so they moved two day 1 picks into next year. They got Randy Moss for a 4th rounder they picked up for being able to swap a 28 pick this year for a 12-15 next year.
The Pats drafted a bunch of guys in the 6th and 7th rounds who might wind up on their farm team. They did get a couple of back ups as well as a guy who will start at safety for them for years.

It’s impossible to screw up more than drafting a punt returner with the #9 overall pick.

Randy Moss will blow your mind at how successful he will be with the Pats. This will work out great. I am certain of it. Moss isn’t TO. TO is a cancer. Rodney Harrison said he would refuse to play with TO. He said he didn’t have such problems with Moss.

Firstly, I'll say that I'm one of the biggest draft geeks out there. Watched the whole thing, wall to wall, on an otherwise beautiful weekend. At least I didn't tape/burn the draft this year like I've done in years past.
Despite the months and months of prep for the draft, I never seem to be able to judge how deep it is until it actually comes off, usually on day two. This, to me, seemed like one of the shallowest drafts in the last 12 or so years, but of course we won't know until three to five years from now for sure.
The Eagles: I was surprised they went with Kevin Kolb. I wrote him off as a product of that Houston Offense (Andre Ware/David Klingler), but they're fairly good judges of talent, so I'll give them a pass.
Victor Abimiri gives some good bulk outside, I think he's probably more of a 3-4 DE, but he could certainly spell Kearse on running downs.
Stew Bradley was also a decent pick in that he can line up over the TE, something we've had problems with in the past.
Tony Hunt, at 233 lbs shows the Eagles at least are giving some consideration to the run.
All the day 2 picks are just fliers at this point.
Biggest Reach - Probably the Cardinals with Levi Brown. He was taken about 7 spots too early, but it was a clear need. Hopefully it works out for them.
Biggest Reach #2 - Ted Ginn Jr. Just a retarded pick by the 'Phins. So badly in need of a QB and they pass on Brady Quinn.
Biggest Reach #3 - Eagles Kevin Kolb. Probably would have been there at 57 and Dwayne Jarett was still on the board.
Biggest Reach #4 - San Diego Eric Weddle. Not an early second rounder, and honestly, I really wanted him to be around at 57 for the Eagles.
Best Draft - Carolina. Beason, Jarrett, Kahlil, Charles Johnson and the under rated Tim Shaw, all excellent players.
Worst Draft - Redskins. Landry is a real player, but they should have traded back several times to secure more picks to restock that team. Blades is also a player, but may be too small to play outside of special teams.

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.
