Yeh. Bullitt. I’ve driven some of those streets. You couldn’t pay me to do that sort of stuff even on a closed course.

The late 60s/early 70s was full of them: Bullitt, The Seven Ups, French Connection, etc.

In more recent decades, the chase scene in To Live and Die in LA (directed, like the FC, by Billy Friedkin), and in The Rock were pretty impressive.
