Like the guys on ESPN also said...imagine if Spencer becomes a problem against the Eagles twice a year?

You need to understand the Philly fan mindset...we are pissed....but I'm sitting here laughing my butt off.

Its the Eagles ...who always look to the future.

CGK---race you to the Walt Witman bridge...:-)

That was everyone’s reaction. It made a little sick how ESPN tries to spin every pick into a positive but they couldn’t salvage this one.

Live from the draft: Birds fans stunned by first pick
By Marc Narducci
INQUIRER STAFF WRITER

NEW YORK — There are quite a few Eagles fans at Radio City Music Hall for the NFL draft and they displayed their opinion in unison when the Birds finally made their first choice.

After trading out of the first round, the Eagles selected University of Houston quarterback Kevin Kolb with their second round choice, the 36th overall pick.

“Booooo,” came from the upper deck where many of the Eagles fans had stayed.

With Donovan McNabb suffering season-ending injuries the past two years, the Eagles were looking for quarterback insurance.

The 6-foot-3, 218-pound Kolb threw for 3,8087 yards, 30 TDs and just four interceptions as a senior at Houston. That was a considerable improvement over his junior season in which he threw 19 touchdown passes, but was intercepted 15 times.

If it’s any consolation to Kolb, he received the same type of greeting from Eagles fans at the draft that McNabb received when he was selected as the Eagles first round pick.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Bears traded their second-round draft pick (37th overall) to the Chargers in exchange for San Diego’s picks in the second round (62nd overall), third round (93rd) and fifth round (167th) this year and the Chargers’ third-round pick next year.

The Bears originally obtained the 37th pick from the New York Jets in exchange for running back Thomas Jones and the 63rd pick. The Chargers selected Utah safety Eric Weddle with the pick they acquired from the Bears.

Philly is a brutal sports town. Around 1992 I had a connecting flight through there. Discussions about Mitch Williams’ gopher ball to Joe Carter and the Barkley trade to Phoenix made it a rather uncomfortable trip. :)

I'm sure that wasn't the only words coming from there.

Believe it or not Mitch Williams is doing post game this year for the Phillies and is on our Local sports station once or twice a week.

It seems that Philly has the McCaskey disease this year...

He has missed 6-7 games the last two years.

Yes, it is a priority. If they have a quality player they can toss McNabb of the bus and hopefully not too hear too much about racism as he is wont to allege.
