Here is the jaw dropping part..
He has been in US custody since..... late 2006.
Yep 2006.
You didn’t even know
Back....Dodged the orange barrels and the raindrops to head up to the CMA to see the amazing special exhibit of Monets now there....Fairly crowded...paintings covered his years in Normandy..so there were the water lilies, but my favorites were of the sea and the cliffs. Monet loved the sea.
Well displayed and the info via the headsets was helpful. Paintings from all over the world, but the giant, famous waterlilies painting is the Museum's own.
Thanks for the party start, Raven.
Molly, check out who is going to be speaker at the U of I commencement.
Jawed Karim, Co-founder of YouTube and University of Illinois alumnus
Well, there ya go. rolling eyes!!
WOW -— No Way! How has our military, and the Iraqi military, managed to keep it silent this long!
CONGRATULATIONS, to all who had part in this!
I just posted a thread: Heard of the decision on Rush:
BIGGIE story...
[WA] State Supreme Court: Talk-radio hosts free to ... talk

Victory of major import for free speech and talk radio! ... and UNANIMOUS even in WA!
Sorry I haven’t clarified sufficiently, I guess:
After speaking yesterday with the present Catholic school, I’ve determined that she WILL be going into the jr.high at 7th grade rather than keeping her at this school (in a different district) until 8th or 9th grade. She WILL be in that jr.high at the start of 7th.
The question right now is whether to change her to the closer Catholic school for two years, for 5th & 6th, so when she goes to that jr.high she’ll already have a constellation of friends in the new area from activities and grade school when she arrives at the jr.high, eg, two more minor changes: one at 5th and one at 7th. The alternative is waiting for two years, and her having to deal with not only the jr.high education and “fish in a big pond” that everyone has to deal with, but in addition to that, having to deal with the social, friend, cultural (coarser, non-Catholic), educational factors ALL at the same time... however, only having to deal with a single shift of environment.
When is it better, socially, for a [girl] child to get the friend shift?
Be back later... gotta hit another consult...
I have a better suggestion for them: Lawrence Wright, alum, Pulitzer Prize winner for his Looming Tower the book on AQ
WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL....FINALLY a secret kept from the screaming media. Hopefully Al.....al.....,......Iraqi has been very helpful to the cause. OOOOOEEEE I’ll bet the new rulers in the house and senate are upset the capture wasn’t released sooner.hehehehehe
It occurs to me that there are some newbies who might like to be on it.
I'd be willing to do this for the short while at least, unless anyone else wants it.
For myself, it'll always be Kay's list..also I'm not going to subtract any names, at least at this point, only add them.
Let me know what you think, and if you want on this list - which the Chairman uses daily to get us going...
Thanks for that decision story. Excellent
It’s annoying to have to excerpt things, but with that story I was able to manage to get the text pretty decent in only 300 words. I got a link to the actual !!!unanimous!!! decision a somewhere around post#10.
At least, I’m pretty confident that people can get the gist of the story pretty well without having to go to some pay site.
Molly, you are a special person, a pink peach.
Raven, darling, I know that some of us may feel like survivors here, but would you be a sweetheart please and change your tagline. It scares me.
Tell it to Imus!
Thanks till...you got me blushing like a peach..which is a favorite color, btw...
AF, your work paid off!
A mixed border collie-wolf is a great combo. The one I had is tied with Tippy for the best dog which owned me. Tippy was a dingo.
I don’t know which is prettier...the bluebird, or his little house!
Yes, I would appreciate the help from whatever quarter. I have the list, but maintaining it on my own would be hit or miss.
ROTFLMPO ... over and over again ...
I almost never read taglines, and have never changed mine ... I may just adopt that one, though... for a while
LOL
