I watched...and Joy (IMO) looks like she knows her career just got alot tougher. Joy/Rosie have a good comic chemistry (as evidenced by some of the adlibs today). I don’t think that Joy will get that vibe from another comic...and she realizes (again, IMO) that her bookings will go down...but then w/Rosie coming back...there still may be hope for her to work the lounges out in Jersey.

Well, I think her 'base' will follow her. The ratings spiked when she first arrived (prior to any controversies) at the View. She is friendly with alot of celebs (Alec Baldwin called her, not the show, to book himself on the View Friday; and Donny Osmond (still good looking I might add) genuinely seems to be friends w/her). The same w/the Broadway crowd and most entertainers who seem to plop down on that 'hard as a rock' couch. So I think w/her own show, she will just bring her 'friends' on and that will jump start it. That with her liberal sympathies, she could give any number of 'activists' a forum (and make them seem friendly and warm). So I don't think it would tank.

It was all about ratings, believe me. The Rosie-Trump foofuraw was choreographed like a WWF wrestling match. With every outrageous thing Rosie said, O'Reilly and others gave The View priceless publicity. BaBa and the network are counting their money and reveling in the Left wing propaganda they've generated. It's all a big game about money and politics.
