I have NEVER participated in any of the ATRW or Day in the Life of Bush threads for the simple fact that the ones I’ve read don’t really seem to have a lot of substance.
Of course we all agree in the absolute importance of the war on terrorism, but that isn’t the ONLY conservative issue we face. And I for one have a difficult time reconciling the liberalism of many of the participants.
For 34 years we American abortuaries have killed more people EVERY SINGLE DAY than the terrorists did on 9/11/01, I WILL NOT subscribe to the mindset that one act is terrorism while the other is merely a “choice.” This runs totally contrary to the principles of “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” that the Founding Fathers risked their all for.
And to Jim Robinson and everyone else, I offer the observation that the destruction of Dan Ratherbiased and the crushing of Harriet Miers’ SCOTUS nomination is proof that FR can and does have an impact on the conservative movement. This forum is more than just a bunch of like-minded people “preaching to the choir.” And in the timeless words of President Ronald Reagan, “Trusting in Him, believing in each other, working together, we will rebuild America — the land of our dreams and mankind’s last great hope.”

Our new little puppy addition is a complete delight! I now have some pix on my computer, and have to figure out how to send them to you. She is growing like a weed, and it is so fun to watch her discover the world with her new eyes. I could go on (and on and on and on) about how smart and cute she is, but I know how tiresome that can be to others, LOL!

Guenevere, we all have people on the threads that aren't our favorites. I have had my disagreements with quite a few people on this thread, even Dog, if you will remember.
What we all agreed to ON THIS THREAD was that we would leave our differences elsewhere and not bring grievances here.
When I get upset at someone on this thread, you know what I do? I go clean toilets or dig in the dirt!
I refuse to countenance gutter talk against anyone on this forum BY anyone, and that includes the owner, who was of course free to ban anyone he wishes, but not in such a vulgar manner. I was quite offended reading that.
You can do what you want, but I see that you have dragged dissension into this thread, which is a pretty crummy thing to do, and all because you don't like Peach and want us all to dislike her as well.

Just about every morning I open my computer, run downstairs to make coffee, come up here after all the diddling a computer makes, then open up ATWR then back down for 2 cups, one for me and one to wake up Roomey, THEN....I begin my day here to see how all my friends are, wonder about those who have not been finger tip communicating. I miss those who are no longer here and wonder about them. One I can call and check on her and family. In fact I have a picture of her little family on my desk. This is such a great place to begin the day. When I mention AFPhys or Bit, or Miss M, Roomey, at first, wondered if I’d gone off to lala land, but now knows the neat people we have here, after meeting my good friend in FL.
Right now, tempers are so hot on all sides that I'd say that she's pretty smart. That thread on Rudy last night was the nastiest I've seen since I was on the old AOL political boards where liberals and conservatives went head to head. Those got so ugly, especially around impeachment, that I gave up trying to reason with any of those idiots. It wasn't worth the headache. My last post was an Opus that took about 7 screen pages nailing a liberal who was attacking one of my conservative friends. I had compiled two years worth of name-calling, lies, etc., and I and two others put them together in one nuclear package.
I was a hero to the rest of the conservatives, but I felt nothing but regret, not because I'd helped her, but in doing so, had sunk to their level. I left AOL a short time later and found this place.
This thread, since the bad old days of USAvsClinton, to now, has always been my shelter from the lunacy that goes on outside. When I come to this thread, I know I'm among friends, and when one of them gets banned for something so petty, I get pretty upset.
AW comeon “Mom” brag and tell us the cute things she is doing. Looking forward to the pictures.
Then why are you still posting? Don't let the door hit you on the way out. I'd prefer to lose one or two members of our tight little community than have the same madness that's engulfing the rest of FR happen on this thread.
