Hey, everyone.... I have a few prayer requests. I just was told my mom has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. They have put her on medication to try to get the fluid off her heart. They also found her thyroid is not functioning correctly and the numbers are way out of whack.
PLEASE also pray for my daughter and my grandson. My daughter has just returned from the Dr. They gave her a steroid shot today and she will receive another one tomorrow to help the baby's lungs develop as they are not ready yet. She is 28 weeks along. He is currently 2 lbs 9 ounces. They have put her on bedrest... she cannot be up for more than 15 minutes, when she is up. This means that she has to take a leave from her job. She is worried about losing her house and paying her bills. She was also informed that she may not have a job when this is all over!
I have been unemployed since January, and going through a mess, as well. Some of you are aware of all of it. Circumstances have put the girls and I living with my older daughter, so we have been helping already with things around the house. God knew she would need us and placed us here ahead of time.
I am working on a project temporarily for Abstinence Clearing House, which will help some in the financial department. Please pray that my mess comes together so that I can help her.
As you can see...there are many issues here.
You prayers are coveted!! (Now I will have a 21 yr old saying, "I'm BORED" along side the 12 yr old that says it frequently!! What's a mother to do! I think I am going to the house in Viborg to get ALL thoe BOARD/bored games!!)
I know in my heart God's hand is in everything and He cares for us. At the moment, it is hard to not feel quite overwhelmed!!
I’m joined in earnest prayer for her!
Added anonymous freeper to my prayer list. Thankful that it wasn’t as bad as first feared, but a long way to go yet.
Prayer on behalf of this young lady, her child, and her family.
Dear Lord, please let her hold her baby safely until it's time to be born into this world you have prepared. Let mother and child come to worship you, to kneel before you and give thanks together, and spread Your Word, and give witness to Your Love.
I am so happy to hear it is not pre-ecclampsia!
I will continue to pray for all concerned — especially mother and baby.
Carolyn

received in email this morning. More prayers up!
Hello!
I was thinking I had 2 weeks in which to prepare for an important interview on June 29....
Things are changing here.
My daughter’s heart Doc was rather upset today to find that when she was in to ER / OB about a week ago due to high blood pressure that they didn’t either put her on meds or deliver the baby! The OB doc is out today. The heart doc will call the OB doc tomorrow and share her mind. She told the expectant mom to be prepared for a call from the OB doc saying the C-section will be on Friday of this week!!
OH MY!
Baby soon!!
They will put her completely under for the c-section because her heart condition will not allow the epideral. Due to this, it is likely they will not allow anyone in the room as support personnel. Her mentor mom (also an RN) is out of town. We were hoping they would at least allow her in there, using the excuse of wanting pictures. That won’t be happening because Jenn is out of town.
At her OB appointment last week Friday the baby was measuring at 5 lbs 5 oz. We were hoping for over 6 lbs.
Your prayers are coveted!
I join in urgent prayer for mom and baby!
Prayers continuing for mom and baby
God’s blessings for all for health and happiness for mom and baby — this is a very serious situation for both the baby and the mom
I pray that our Lord Jesus Christ just fills up that whole room with his presence and brings lots of peace and love
Blessings,
Jane
I will be praying for an easy delivery of your grandbaby too!
Thanks trussell,Her 4 children are on their over in a few minutes because she feels sick.
Thanks for the updates! Continuing to hold this mother and her baby up in prayers.
Prayers going up.
Update received in email
..................................................................................
It has been a trying couple of days, as the tug-of-war went on between doctors, patient, information seeking, etc. I will leave out all the stressful details, but want to thank you for your prayers. The net result of the last few days....
My daughter is scheduled for a c-section at 12 noon, Friday, June 22, 2007.
Due to her heart condition, she will be put under and they will run an monitor thru her artery to her heart to keep an eye on it.
If all goes well, she will be finished in about an hour, and back in OB with the baby.
They will start her immediately on blood thinners because of the possibility of clotting after the surgery, and her blood issue.
If there is any trouble (heart issues), they will move her to ICU and keep her closely monitored for several hours before allowing her to go up to OB. If this is the case, my grandson will be in the nursery until she is in the room. (Unless they will allow gramma to hold him....EEEWWWWW! that makes me feel old!)
They very likely will keep her at the hospital for 5-7 days to keep an eye on her heart, and start dealing with medications for her heart again.
I hope that Friday night, when all is well and they are tucked in for the night, that I can come home and email you with the good news and some pictures, as well!
We are nearing the end of this part of the journey. Thank you for your continued prayers through the next few days.
