The Sox and Yankees are resuming their long standing rivalry with and a mix of old and new faces. The Sox have upgraded their team with additions of JD Drew, Julio Lugo and Dice-K. The Yankees return with changes to the starting rotation and the subtraction of Gary Sheffield. Both teams figure to compete deep into the season.
For two states without much to brag about with respect to their elected officials,
Chucky and Hidabeast vs the Flip Flopping Gigalo and the Swimmer
or
The Spitter vs Coupe Deval
Here's to another season of Yankees vs Red Sox on FR!

The 2007 season is upon us and we are treated to six Red Sox vs Yankees games in the month of April.
Sox open with Curt Schilling coming off of back to back impressive wins and the Yankees counter with Amy Petite.

Red Sox-Yankees Ping.
I would offer this as a season thread. Let’s hope the Sox don’t fall apart in mid-August and we have a repeat of last year.
Yankee fans welcome....

The Yankees return with changes to the starting rotation Yeah, I'd say so. Four of their starting five are on the disabled list -- Mussina, Wang, Pavano, and Karstens. Until they get back into the rotation the Yanks are going to have to score 7+ runs a game to have any chance of winning. .....but A-Rod is coming through bigtime for them.

Boy if it weren't for the Indians horrible bullpen, the Sox could have been leading the Yanks by 2 games going into tonight. Tribe led 6-2 going into the 9th but Yanks got 6 runs including a walk-off A-Fraud homer. Who's putting the steroids on his Wheaties? I was following the action of that game here via MLB.com Gameday
Fri, Apr 20 7:05 pm EDT C. Schilling vs. A. Pettitte

The Indians actually signed Foulke as a way of upgrading their pen.
That’s sad.

OMG, this is what happens when I have not had enough caffeine. That ping was supposed to be for my husband.
I am so embarrassed LOL.
Could you add Sheli my HBDB to your ping list please.
I am still so embarrassed. I am hiding under my desk now LOL.

I would say something witty, and brave, and rah-rah Red Sox, but I’ve been a fan since 1949.

April is great for trash talking. Already Kenny Rogers is out until July and a whole bunch of other stuff can happen.

I'll be there tomorrow. I think my seats are about 600 from the plate, but it'll be a great time anyway. Spending the night in Boston to console the bummed out Yankme fans...
Go Sox!!!
