As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Kay - RIP.
In the news...
Russia is planning to build the world's longest tunnel. In a project being coordinated with the United States and Canada, and to which the nations of Japan, China, and South Korea have also expressed an interest in aiding, the Russians desire to build a 64-mile, three-section, highway, rail, power, fiber-optic tunnel across the Bering Strait to Alaska. The tunnel complex would cross the strait and would link to two islands across its route (thus three sections). It is expected the project would cost $12 billion--the Chinese have indicated they will fund a portion, and it will enable the shipment of Russian oil and gas to America..
A court in Montgomery county, Virginia, had found Sueng-Hui Cho, the VT madman, "mentally ill" and potentially dangerous. Specifically, the detention order has stated "presents an imminent danger to himself as a result of mental illness", and "presents an imminent danger to others as a result of mental illness". The court then let him go--allowing outpatient treatment. That was December 2005.
While the Supreme Court victory on abortion really didn't stop the vicious murdering of viable fetuses (read the opinion, sorry folks, its true) insofar as the fetus could still be killed inside the mother and then removed, there is nevertheless very good news in what the Supreme Court ruled. It may be possible to outlaw specific procedures, or even enhance the current law, so the grusome D&E process can be stopped once and for all. The Supreme Court made it very clear the process of abortion can, in fact, be regulated--although it cannot be stopped. The wording hung its hat on words like "viable", "other options", "delivery milestones", and so on. Thus, regulation of the process through appropriate legislation is now possible. The left is crying foul, so they can see this way forward too.
About a month or so ago, the DJIA crashed, taking with it two percent of its total value in one day. The left was screaming this was the end of the economic boom. Yesterday, the DJIA closed above 12,800 for the first time.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Shep now has to explain Fox News Channel’s reversal decision, after he defended showing the images 3 hours ago.
Good Morning. Busy, Busy today. I will lurk most of the day.
I couldn’t get the marquee thing to work....darn.
Got to go...back tonight.
I worry about IG in that state house with those counter culture democRATS
I appreciate your concern, till, but be absolutely certain that you and I were cut from the same cloth. It's just that our callings were different.
I may come in here and vent occasionally, but I will forever stand strong on behalf of the cause.
That's a picture of my Snicky on the right and my Naughty black cat on the left..minus a little white.
Hugs to you, my friend.
Sometimes we get so wrapped up into other things that we forget why we are all still here after all these years..... friendship over many years to the point it's beyond that...it's like family.
Love you, all.
Off to spend cha ching ba da bing on groceries.
Really? Works for me..........
Thank you Mozie, you picked 2 of my favorite creatures.
I feel the same way. Conservative, Christian ideas and works will always be my cause. And if we don’t stand strong we lose.
Well gotta go. Would you believe the club has decided to pour some concrete paths today and the tournament begins on Sunday? They are using my back yard to bring in the concrete truck. Roomey is out there now making sure they don’t tear up too much, not there’s much to tear up. My back yard is not mowed, because I want the bluebonnes to reseed and replant so it looks like a mini jungle for bugs.
....Fills my heart with joy and at the same time breaks it.
What great fun we had AND will continue to have.
Thank you for your post.
Many we have had for over 10 years and we do the same thing every year...provide a bubbler to keep a hole in the water to release the gases when the pond freezes. That's very important.
Sad to say, we may have a few froggies gone. Every year that seems to happen. They do not adjust with the various temps. :(
You must understand, at times we have hundreds of frog egg. Some are eaten by the fish, some survive the winter, some don't...
We try to keep everything as natural as possible.
dj, where in the world are you? Get your black boots on and comeonover (Southern slurspeak) here. LOL
It was shortly after Day 4 that Jim / John disabled the ability to do marquees.
I think Dog meant it wasn't working on the original thread, for him.
We be marqueeing like crazy. LOL
*sigh*
Love to all..
Back already?
Oh well. C'es-la vie.:)
Looking at that old thread reminds me of how long you have been our fearless leader. Thanks for your faithfulness lo these many years.:)
Well, I have no faith in today's game's pitcher. Y'all are going to win another one this afternoon!
