The Dixie Chicks are nominated for video of the year at the CMT Music Awards their first such nomination since country radio unofficially banned them.
But since Monday's Country Music Television awards are voted on by fans not industry insiders don't look for a big thaw between radio and the Chicks.
The Texas trio is up against Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, George Strait, Sugarland, Rascal Flatts and Kenny Chesney for the night's top honor.
They're also nominated for group video of the year for their single "Not Ready to Make Nice."
The Chicks have been at odds with country radio since lead singer Natalie Maines told a London audience in 2003 that they were ashamed President Bush was from their home state of Texas.

Does Viacom own CMT? If they do, the Chicks will win.
I hope they’re not holding their breath....The vote for the Dixie Twits was done by the left not by Country Music Fans, CMT knows that and they will not alienate their fans by allowing the Dixie twits to win anything.
