My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

WOW these are great!
At least the rain is warm, not that cold, bone chilling stuff we get at certain times of the year.
The colors are wonderful, the busy street scenes are delightful!

I'm so glad you enjoy them. In all likelihood I'll pop back over to Thailand this month. I'd kind of like to see something new, maybe I'll catch the floating market (I've actually see that before, but I didn't have my camera)
Hmmm, I'll think about what I can dig up.
I could also take a trip to Hong Kong, but I'm very reluctant to go to a commie country, so it's probably Bangkok again.

A couple of suggestions for you and your camera if I might? Although the government of Laos is vile, Luang Prabong is a remarkable city -- Stuck in the past, like Thailand 50+ years ago. The people of Laos are very nice and there is some free enterprise at the local level. Mostly though Laos and the MaeKong are beautiful. I'm sure you must have seen Taipei -- good government and lots of fun.
Inside Thailand, Nan Province is the most beautiful, particularly in the rainy season!! Phanom Rung ancient Khmer temple south of Buriram, while not extensive like Angkor, is isolated on a hill and at its best during the rains.
We look forward to your next photos.

Great pictures! So much better then the usual tourist agency shots. You capture the real feeling of the place. The people are being themselves, and that adds a dimension often missing in those staged ad shots one sees. I really liked the picture with the standing water over the pattern of tiles. You can see below the water’s surface, the surface of the tile area itself, and the sky reflected in the water. Three separate worlds as it were, in one picture.

Slip and Cyper are cool. I was surprised they hadn’t joined the Lair before.

I don’t know about you, but meteorological circumstances have created an especially challenging day for allergies.
Beautiful, itchy & stuffy.

One of those sneezing, wheezing, hacking cough itch all over days. These type of days make you know that you are alive. 8^)
