My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Is that for all the shooting victims? (here is my brilliant commentary on the shooting situation, I thought I'd repost it here, as the 'shooting' threads are in 'torrential' comment mode right now (can you believe 240,000+ views for the original breaking news post!)
My feelings are surprisingly mixed. Of course I don't want people to die, but 3000 Americans have already been killed by illegal aliens alone. Plus I read one year ago they (stupidly) voted to ban guns on campus. In a Southern school a couple years ago (the name escapes me) an African (not African-American, but a guy from Africa) offed the prof and was about to lay into the students when one returned from his car with his own legal piece. The foreigner dropped his gun real quick-like.
Anyway, along with all the soul searching, I see things just like this as inevitable results of liberal policies across the board.
Sorry to say, but things like this will toughen kids up, just like seeing that Nick Berg kid get his head sawed off. This is our world, and we need Reaganesque social and governmental values in order to survive in it. We'll arrive at those values, one way or another.

Thirty two kids dead. Horrible. It could happen at any college or high school, Columbine comes to mind.

Well reading the other posts I see I do have this habit of dropping in with jarringly serious commentary when everyone else is enjoying friendly chit chat!

It’s fine starbase, we all live in reality, your feelings and thoughts are welcome here.
I felt outrage today over these senseless deaths and wanted to vent out here. It’s not ready for me to let go of it yet. I have to live with it for a while before I can write it out.
Don’t be so hard on yourself. ;)

The current news is saying that it was a Chinese person here on a student visa but not actually a student. He was supposedly jilted by a girl that went to Virginia Tech. However, a second Chinese person of interest was held by the police. China has AQ people. It is a damn shame that no action was taken when he did not enroll in school. It appears to be another bureaucratic cluster ****. And of course the students were unarmed by decree. I bet that the college regents really feel good right about now.

That’s airport silver?! Wow!
Yes, there were about 80 cases filled with pieces on display which I took numerous pics of while waiting for my connecting flight to Asia. (the miracle of digital cameras with 460 photo memory cards! (and the card was only $29 bucks!))
I still have about 15 more, plus some Indonesian cultural items that were also on display. I'm aiming to get them all posted before my trip to Bangkok in two weeks, where I can load the old digital camera back up again! (if you know of, or research, any spots in Bangkok you'd like me to try and visit for photos, just let me know, I'm taking special requests on this trip!)
