My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

ROTFLOL! Oh you must write something about that one. ;) Never heard that one before. OMG, hilarious, what a mental graphic that one is.
See how nice sleeping late is?? The day goes well thanks. I have been up for hours, but then I crashed early in the evening. LOL
My shopping tour knocked me out. I had a grand time with my granddaughter and my daughter yesterday. We shared pizza, soda, and tons of laughs. My granddaughter is a blonde, she sits on her hair, expect when she rolls it into a bun, then I call her Olive Oyl!

Glad to hear that you had a fun day with family prior to the storm hitting.

Happy heifers!! We don't need no stinkin' rock!

Teasdale’s poetry is pretty but often too downer for my needs. That one can sorta be taken either way. I didn’t have a ton of time this morning.
Weather-wise we’re good till tomorrow, at which point we’ll get 4 or 5 inches of rain which will continue through Wednesday night, and Tuesday & Wednesday might turn to snow.
Some parts of Maine, NY & VT could get up to 18” of snow! We’ll get the minimum of the white stuff south of Boston.

I read many poems this morning looking for just the mood I wanted to convey. Didn’t find one or got bored looking through the classic selection (I should seek out some current artists.)

I of many colors in flight
show the vulnerable underside
of myself I know
Still I choose to soar high
as the sky will let me go
ride the rainbow's bands of light
iridescent as I move
in serendipity's host of freedom
her gifts she richly endows
upon tender hearted poets throughout time
with laughter to disclose
her many colored facets gleam
as the inside of a rose.

Sometime I look long and hard and don’t get no satisfaction. I didn’t look long today. Too much going on. Changing a waterbed mattress, setting up a bluebird house, picking up sticks outside because it’s going to rain and snow for 5 days starting tomorrow...

Blue sky, blue sky.
Looking at you, wishing the day by.
Blue sky, purple sky.
Storm coming in, here it is, there's the eye.
Blue sky, grey sky.
The earth is wailing, the thunder yells, and the clouds cry.
Blue sky, grey sky, black sky.
Tore away at the moon, swallowed stars, and made the sun die.
Black sky Green sky Orange sky Red sky Pink and yellow and mean sky.
Come on and roll in; it's only in my mind.

Being that I have been in tornadoes and such I could visualize this poem until the last part and then it lost me.

Rain
Rain is a great giver of life
in some cases it brings great strife,
rain fall in many ways from torrents to showers
from flash floods to droplets that gently kiss the flowers,
a gentle mist can be felt and heard not by ear
a drizzle falls a little harder and is easy to hear,
a downpour brings big drops and the skys color becomes dark
as the rain that bathes the grass and the trees in the park,
the ferocity of the rains sound may come as a shock
sort of hearing a cow pee on a flat rock,
monsoons bring rain that is sideways in nature
helps the homeowner find leaks thats for sure,
rain can be gentle and warm
and cold as the dickens during an ice storm,
and when we have rain in our lives every day
we should chant Rain, rain go away,
the sun will then shine and we will smile
even if it is for a little while,
joy at last will be in our life
and for a moment we are relieved from our strife,
until rain comes back and touches our life.

Are ya ready??
You're in for the rain
a wet cold, sloppy, kind of cold.
we're getting the hard water stuff
that hangs around and piles up in
daffodil folds.
Ain't no sunshine all these days
skies are full of shades of Grey
muted tones of endless blues
ain't no shine sun in my life.
To: Lady Jag
I bet that you had fun changing that waterbed mattress especially if it did not have the baffles.
