My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I worked or fell for everyone of them. Swollen legs, feet and knees, back permanent condition. Arthritis run amok this time of year.

One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If
we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to
reject any evidence of the bamboozle. The bamboozle
has captured us. Once you give a charlatan power over
you, you almost never get it back.

Any chance of your having a waterbed?

Have you seen the TV commercials for allergy meds? I’m on them all.

I love the season so I swallow all the pills and inhale all the inhalers and go outside to play. I still suffer but apparently less if it weren’t for the meds.

We have talked of a waterbed before, I know you have one and are well pleased with it. I could certainly get one if I wished. I guess I don’t really want one.

For one thing this old house has unleveled floors the house is going to the middle. I am sure a waterbed has to be level as well as good support beams in the basement. I don't know about those things.;)

I used to have a waterbed and loved it for years. The rule of thumb is: if you could fill up your bathtub the floor shold be strong enough to suppot one. Condidering the typical water bed is around 7 ft x f ft (49 sq ft)and the bed holds around 150 gallons of water (1050 pounds) , the dispalcement of weight on existing floor space should be around 21.5 pounds per square foot.

Yes, I have seen them all. I think the Nasonex Bee is a funny commercial.

Okay, well that’s the bed, next comes the body weight, how does one figure that per square foot??? ;))))

The water displaces the weight of the body evenly. So if 2 adults were a total of 350 pounds, the weight per square foot of floor space goes up to 28.5 pounds. Considering a person standing on one leg place much more than 28.5 pounds per square foot. The major obstacle to waterbeds is should they spring a leak.

Okay, well, I have 2 mattress’s, one a super hard (hotel firm) with an innerspring underneath. I sleep on a space age form thingy 4 inches thick. This all rests atop a waterbed frame, with four storage drawers (one atop the other) under the entire bed. The drawers hold all the bedding and other various and sundry items.

I would be one mad woman if a water bed were to spring a leak on all that. ;)

I really don't think I am wanting a waterbed.

Waterbeds do have their drawbacks. If are sleeping on Space age foam that is probably better anyway.
