Charlotte, NC, broke an 84-year-old record for lowest temperature today. Locally, we only went down as low as 29F, which was five degrees above the record.
Otherwise, an apparently quiet morning newswise.

Been busy all day. Hubby home with a reoccurrence of his sinus problems, and doc called in another round of antibiotics for him. Took granddaughter to swim lessons and lunch. Mopped floor, Did laundry. Made roasted asparagus with curry mayonnaise to eat with my Lean Cuisine beef portobello (hubby was eating chicken noodle soup). I feel very healthy and stuffed. LOL!
Anyway, that's about all the exciting news I have.
I understand. I feel that way when it has been overcast and rainy here. I feel closed in, dirty and just want to crawl back in bed.
I gotta get ready for the day.

Sen. Barack Obama will not participate in a Democratic presidential debate this fall co-hosted by Fox News Channel, making him the second candidate to snub the cable network.
Edwards bowed out of a Fox moderated debate too. Are these guys weenies or what? I think this makes them look extremely foolish.
I am sitting at this computer by this computer, at this keyboard and my heart is filled with lasting things ... and pockets and forever memories ... and friendships which defy definition.
Our kayak ... all my life I have pondered lasting things ... moments, times, people, gestures, thoughts ... which will live in our hearts forever.
I recall when you first joined us here ... we were both new to this internet thing and your voice called to me... Your generosity and thoughtfullness, loyalty, strength, humor, dedication, patience ... we ... not you ... mostly me ... sent the thread dancing all day, one day ... remember?
And then it was underlined for pages .... muti-colored as well ... BWAK!
You jumped in ... as you have all your life, I think ... to learn and contribute ... soon you made a list .... so that no one was left out ... all were welcome ... all remembered ... all valuable ... all worth knowing ... in this misty internet space you made a home which is safe and fun ... informative and Grace-filled ....

Molly, you are a truly wonderful friend, you humble me ... I budge in here because I do not know what happened to to/with Neets and I do not care .... We are seeing a loss of a dear dear friend and Neets should have a voice ... her heart should be able to be heard ... her wisdom and joy for friendship should join the rest of us ... this is a different thread and even as it is visited less often ... its value can not be measured.
