bump! bump! bump!
Thanks for the ping. Needs a lot of study. With what we already know, probably 25-50 crimes committed there.
And more people (politicians) involved.
The London Telegraph this morning reported portions of the Washington Post article which claims “The American Justice Department investigators have unearthed evidence that China funneled money to the Democratic Party during President Clinton’s re-election campaign” and noted “The discovery that communist diplomats may have actively helped the Democrats significantly widens the campaign finance scandal which has blown up in Mr. Clinton’s face since his triumph in November.

According to the New York Times, Clinton removed $2 billion in trade with China from national security scrutiny. Among the results: 77 supercomputers capable of 13 billion calculations per second that could scramble and unscramble secret data and design nuclear weapons. These were purchased by the Chinese without a peep stateside. At least some of them would be used by the Chinese military.

I want to keep up with this topic and I read every thread on the subject that I can. However, I don’t always have time to post.
As far as pinging others is concerned, my bet is that you’ve been pinging others who didn’t want to be on the ping list, and they reported it to the mod. It’s not that there is controlled discussion...it’s that there are rules about ping lists.
Since you’ve been lurking so long, I would have thought you would have known that.
In any case, I sincerely thank you for the pings to these threads.
Have you ever read Senator Inhofe's June 23, 1999 Senate Floor Chinagate speech. google: Clinton National Security Scandal and Coverup (this is actually Inhofe's second Senate Floor speech on Chinagate, his first one was in March of 1999)
"...my bet is that youve been pinging others who didnt want to be on the ping list...and they reported it to the mod... its that there are rules about ping lists."
In this thread for example, I pinged everyone I have ever seen post any comment whatsoever -to any of the previous chinagate threads over the past many years. That's how I knew that these folks had at least posted something pertaining to chinagate and they might have missed this thread/title. My cup of tea, so to speak, is chinagate so, I've always paid 100% attention to this devastating topic and consider it the most important national security topic - of any, since the Rosenbergs. And if Hillary gets in the White House, I'm sure she'll be summoning all the Chinese agents - - all over again. (there are so many important topics, but my free time from a busy work schedule, I have, unfortunately, only allowed myself time for chinagate matters)
"thank you for the pings to these threads."
You're very welcome.
I believe I did read Sen. Inhofe’s speeches on the subject.
I didn’t sign up here until 2000, but I’ve lurked since Jan. 22, 1998...
the day my granddaughter was born, and CNN broke the Monica story.
It’s been a while, so I will have to go back and read them again.
I totally agree with you WRT the importance of this subject, and the implications.
Pinging someone just because they posted is a no-no.
When you ping those who you know want to be on the ping list, as I do,
that’s okay...just don’t ping anyone who has not said they want to be on.
Ask first...
Yes, I know. And after you've reviewed the Inhofe speeches, you might find yourself awash with worries about Hillary getting back into the White House.
"Pinging someone just because they posted is a no-no."
That's what I never gave much thought to, but now I will.
Unfortunately, my chinagate ping list just went from over 200 - - down to about eight or nine. Over the past many years since the Inhofe speeches, I never differentiated between who posted frequently to chinagate threads or just posted a few words; and I've also never tried to differentiate those who left fr and those who remain.
Anyway, hopefully, chinagate will be a bit more important then what it seems here now - especially with Hillary bangin' at the White House door again.

If she thinks the SwiftBoaters had heavy guns....Hilary! ain't seen nothin' yet!
Be sure you don’t hang out near Fort Marcy Park.
