Seriously, tho, the stamina and sheer class Virgie's shown us is admirable. Being close to her age, I'm not sure how I would have handled losing both a grandson and a daughter within 6 months, much less having to fight Stern for the grandbaby 3000 miles from home. And not once, has she lashed out in temper. Kuddos to her. and God Bless her, too.

Hello everyone! While I was deboning chicken I was listening to the Geraldo show and the issue about the diaries.

What came to my mind was Ford Shelly. Just what is it that Ford Shelly was talking about last week when he stated that there were copies.

I am not referring to the diaries. But I do wonder just what the HKS/Ford standoff is all about.

TOT TUSSLE: Anna Nicole Smith's mother Virgie Arthur (above) is trying to obtain guardianship of baby Dannielynn Hope Marshall, just days after Larry Birkhead was declared dad.

April 14, 2007 -- NASSAU, Bahamas - First it was the lover, now it's the mother.

Anna Nicole Smith's mom is preventing Larry Birkhead from getting custody of his daughter because she wants to become the child's guardian, sources said yesterday.

Virgie Arthur's insistence that she be made legal guardian of her granddaughter Dannielynn Hope Marshall in case Birkhead dies caused a Bahamas court to delay awarding him custody yesterday.

Birkhead, who was legally declared the girl's biological daddy on Tuesday, has refused Arthur's request because it is an unusual role for a grandmother.

"He has parents," the source in Birkhead's camp said. "They are not doing this."

The court gave Arthur and Birkhead, who were originally united in their efforts to wrest Dannielynn away from Smith's lover Howard K. Stern, until next Friday to come to an agreement.

Arthur, who was estranged from Smith for years before her death, is set to meet Birkhead today to discuss the matter, along with a visitation schedule for Dannielynn.

Birkhead, however, has declared he will not budge on the guardianship issue, the source told The Post.

Arthur's decision to block Birkhead's custody petition surprised his former rival Stern yesterday.

"If it were up to me, a formal order in terms of giving Larry full custody would have occurred today," Stern said outside the court.

"There are some things I can't control. Virgie's action and the actions of Virgie's attorney are one of the things I can't control."

But Arthur's lawyer lashed out at Stern, saying he was the reason Birkhead had to wait to so long to be reunited with his daughter.

"The first thing that caused all the delay is the fight about how he would never say that Larry is the father," attorney John O'Quinn said.

O'Quinn declined to say what Arthur wanted in order to drop her petition.

The lawyer also criticized Stern for placing guards outside Smith's grave on the island and preventing Arthur from visiting her daughter's gravesite.

In a strange twist, later in the day Stern filed a slander lawsuit against O'Quinn, who has suggested Stern was involved in Smith's death.

According to the lawsuit, during an interview in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., O'Quinn told Fox News's Greta Van Susteren that Arthur believed Stern murdered her daughter and that O'Quinn agreed with her.

"The public airwaves should never be used to promote personal agendas or vendettas," Stern's attorneys L. Lin Wood said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Stern said the transition for Dannielynn to be placed in Birkhead's custody had already begun and he praised the photographer's skills as a daddy.

"Larry spent the majority of the last few days over at the house getting to know Dannielynn, changing diapers," Stern said.

"If you ask my opinion, he is doing a great job."

Yes, I see your point, it is confusing. There are two ways I look at it today. One is that Larry is doing whatever he and his lawyers think is right in order to extricate the baby from Howard. He did say he’d never forgive Howard. But now things are really clear to him about the Estate and Howard’s pathology. The other way I sometimes see it is that Larry has found out some new information since talking with Howard and that influences his behavior.
Finally, no matter what, ANS was an angry person who refused to allow Larry his child. We tend to hold Howard fully responsible. I’m sure Larry threatened to get the baby away from her or report her to authorities for Methadone dependence. Her escape to the Bahamas was her self-defense. A junkie cannot imagine life without the next fix. Rehab was not on her mind. Perhaps weak and passive Howard was trying to protect the baby by monitoring dosages. Who knows?
I really, really hope DL is physically and mentally normal. Especially since ANS starved her to keep her weight down (I believe the nanny. And Larry’s report that she gained a lot of weight since the DNA test confirms that.)

Larry is enjoying public support and popularity - almost like poor old Jim Whittaker when he won the lottery. Larry is still a very young ‘unencumbered’ man. He will have to mature very quickly

is 35 young? he seems a little immature to me - I wouldn't let my daughter marry him based on his resume at this point. By 35 he should have had a nice home, a good stock portfolio and a nice nestegg started. His employment these past three years has been, 'exclusive photographer' and a few walk-on tv roles that apparently didn't pan out. Hopefully he will mature quickly and give Dannielynn a good upbringing but his insistence on returning to Hollywierd remains a sore spot with me. i'd have preferred kentucky or texas or alaska or.....anyplace but Hollywood.

I wonder if Stern has been able to get the stuff taken from Horizon’s yet. He may not be trying to do it because it may lead to a standoff regarding the Will. He’s going around saying he’s the executor but maybe the police in Horry County are saying..No...we need more proof. I wonder how much of that stuff we could get with a Freedom of Information Act request..just wondering. Ford probably meant copies of the computers, pictures, videos, etc..etc. I bet HKS was shaking in his boots. He can whine but I do love the fact that people aren’t just rolling over...the bags under his eyes tell me he’s stressed. I go back and forth on if he’s a true psychopath or a sociopath.

From a criminal standpoint, a sociopath’s crimes are typically disorganized and spontaneous, while the psychopath’s crimes are well planned out. For this reason, psychopaths are harder to catch than sociopaths, as the sociopath is more apt to leave ample evidence in his or her explosions of violence.

Well isn't this kidnapper full of himself. He lies and tries to take someonelses child,until it was proved that he was not the father, which he full well knew, and now it has the gall to speak out and state who should have custody of Danielynn.

Part 2:

Khris would tell nanny: There’s a lot of meds she (Anna) needs to take every 4 hours. Khris would put meds in cup. HKS would give her the meds. Nanny said 6-10 pills in the cup. Nanny got scared re: amount of meds. She took down the names of the drugs - 24 drugs.

Nanny confirmed meds in fridge - methadone

Anna drank Slimfast - never ate. HKS smoked and never ate.

Anna: 2 days “sleeping”; 1 day up.

HKS would bring Anna things to sign.

Nannies usually paid in cash. Last check HKS signed Vickie Lynn Marshall on Anna’s acct. Khris signed checks in name of Vickie Lynn Marshall too.

Part 3:
Lawyer showed Controversy guys copies of checks - Khris signed but mis-spelled Vickie as Vichie (with an “h”).

Anna told nanny that the night in the hospital, Daniel left for awhile with Howard.

Dr. “Barnett” sp? gave Anna a shot the day of Daniel’s funeral. At the cemetary, Anna screamed, “Howard, you killed my son. I trusted you.” Nanny was there and said everybody heard it.

Nanny feels baby is in danger. Tells how she came in and baby slept for a long time. She gave baby a bottle and the baby sucked on it while “sleeping.”
