Thread Number 3
How can they possible put off this inquest until May 22??? AGAIN?
Ms. Alexis claimed Ms. Smith terminated her over a broken part in the washing machine, and Mrs. Alexie claimed Howard Stern, Ms. Smiths companion, terminated her after she made inquiries to a medical doctor about the prescription drugs Ms. Smith was taking.
**********************
I’ll give three guesses to the whom the “medical doctor” they are referring to here.
How can a dead bombshell’s attorney get away with this???
What legal justification does HKS have for remaining in that house? EVEN and that’s a big EVEN, but EVEN if Thompson gave that house to ANS, does that mean that an attorney of a deceased person can just live in the home of their client when they die? This is insane!
Ok then. Thanks for the explanation. I have sifted through so much information it can get difficult to keep it straight as I am certainly no legal expert.
I guess we’ll have to just wait and see this thing played out. Interesting.
Yeah, I don’t get him staying in the house. I understand that if he was a legal tenant, there is a process that must be followed.
However, how is he any different from someone who may have broken into the home and is trespassing? If that were the case, the police would just go in and arrest the person. Is Shelley/Thompson holding off only because of DL?
Will do, but be aware that I am not good at being able to tell whether BonBon is decomposing or not. *fool me once*
May 22??????? *cuss* *cuss*
The little ones were so precious. My fave part was the opening of the Shamrock Hilton, because I lived down the street from the real one - and they were showing all these people flying in on their private planes.
I thought that little airstrip must be somewhere near my house, lol. I think I was 7. Mother & Daddy went to the Cork Club sometimes at the hotel - and that was what Jett Rink’s (Glenn McCarthy’s) place looked like inside the hotel. I always wanted to count the different shades of green to see if they told the truth, but never finished.
Oh, I didn’t get the impression it was the live-in KE. I thought they asked some other Bahamian doctor there in town.
Howard Kevin Stern has 207 friends!
***************************
Now 208!!
BTW, ANS has 145,000 friends. That must have been her myspace page for real (as most celebrity’s have one) AND HKS is her #1 friend and Bonnie is on there.
I added myself to Bonnie, and Big Moe.
And last log in on HKS myspace page was 02-05-07. Hmmm
hehe
Oh, it’s extreeeeemmmmeeelllly convoluted, even for the smartest of legal eagles. There’s no hope for me to ever quite understand it - but we lived with the trial updates on a daily basis here locally, so some of it seeped in by osmosis.
I paid very little attention, but have gone back and studied what I could after both Daniel’s and ANS’s death. I find something new that amazes me each time.
In a word, yes. He’s using Dannielynn as a shield against a LOT of things. Pathetic.
Who could? Oh, yeah, MoMo’s got the matching smoochie lip power.
Here is the latest on the Horizons dispute from today’s Bahama Journal :http://www.jonesbahamas.com/?c=45&a=12270

Lawyer Says Paternity May End House Battle
By Quincy Parker
Larry Birkheads confirmation as the father of Anna Nicole Smiths infant daughter Dannielynn paves the way for an end to the legal standoff centred on the Eastern Road mansion called Horizons, according to the lawyer for one claimant to the houses title.
Godfrey Pro Pinder told the Journal that his client, Ms. Smiths ex-lover G. Ben Thompson, would “work with” Mr. Birkhead.
He has been locked in a dispute with lawyers for Howard K. Stern, Ms. Smiths live-in lawyer, over who owns the residence where Ms. Smith and Mr. Stern lived with Dannielynn until Ms. Smiths sudden death in February.
Mr. Stern and Dannielynn still live at Horizons.
Mr. Thompson claims he owns the home, since Ms. Smith never fulfilled the terms under which he supposedly turned it over to her, and Mr. Stern and lawyers for Ms. Smiths estate support Ms. Smiths claim the house was a gift.
Mr. Pinder said that the substantiation of Mr. Birkheads paternity claim adds a new dimension to the wrangling over the house.
“I believe that he (Mr. Birkhead) would also get temporary custody. If he gets temporary custody then he should replace Howard K. Stern in the house. You dont need to have two fathers in the house,” Mr. Pinder said.
“We shall invite Howard out of the house, and leave Larry in. Well work with Larry. Larry knows who the owner is; hell eventually probably do the right thing and turn it back over to us.”
However, insiders in the housing case say that is a difficult call to make.
The property is the subject of an injunction. Supreme Court Senior Justice Anita Allen has ordered that nothing further be done with regard to the property until further notice.
And the Journal understands that the estate of the late Playboy pinup must be probated before the property can be dealt with definitively. Ms. Smiths will may have to be probated in California, and then resealed in The Bahamas a process that is likely to take months, if not longer.
Mr. Birkhead was confirmed as the childs father on Tuesday when DNA expert Dr. Michael Baird disclosed in the Bahamas Supreme Court that the DNA tests showed Mr. Birkhead was 99.9999 percent likely to be Dannielynns father.
The determination of paternity is the first milestone in the custody proceedings. Next up, the court will hear a claim from Ms. Smiths mother Virgie Arthur on Friday. Mrs. Arthur intends to press her claim for guardianship and custody of Dannielynn, although her lawyer Deborah Rose may have indicated some wiggle room on Tuesday.
“We are scheduled to be back before the court on Friday [to argue Mrs. Arthurs claim for custody and guardianship], but as we said, were looking forward to working with Larry and hopefully we can come to a position thats in Dannielynns best interests,” Ms. Rose said.
Sources close to the case say that while it is possible that Messrs. Stern and Birkhead may have made an arrangement with regard to both custody of the child and the disposition of the Horizons residence, it is unlikely that such a deal has been struck with Mrs. Arthur.
We sometimes say: "God has his reasons" but I don't understand.
So maybe the baby is the key to HIS reason for "NOW" because she lost the one before. It looks like Anna's little one will wind up in Kentucky...growing up as a country girl with a wonderful, loving father and his family and another Grandma not too far away.
Call it Another Chance. Anna CHOSE the right person to be the father of Dannie Lynn. I think they really loved each other.
One of the most repulsive things I’ve seen (and I’ve witnessed plenty with this case) was on ET last week, as far as Opri’s bill.
They were “sizing up” the players as to custody. They showed Larry first (of course, this was long before the paternity revelation) and typed “income - unknown” across the screen (I guess the $80,000+ he testified to was too paltry for them - or maybe too much more than HKS’s?). Home - a studio apartment - Debts - $620,000 legal bill.
Can you believe that?
Then they did the same with Virgie - Income - $55,000 retirement benefits - Home - (and they didn’t put trailer as I had expected them to) and then some one other item I’ve forgotten.
Then they go to Howie and put up - Profession - Attorney - Home - Bahamas Estate - Income - projected $26 million!
Can you believe that crapola? Someone should sue them just to get this junk off the air. I know, I know, I can just switch the channel.
