NEW ORLEANS, LA -- Louisiana pawnshop manager Dan Reese said he never thought he'd see a diaper-clad 2-year-old holding an AK-47.
But that's exactly what happened inside BJ's Pawn Shop, Reese said.
The toddler's father gave him the gun and proceeded to show the child how to hold, load and operate it.
"He's telling the boy, 'This is how you hold it, like this. Anybody in front of you, you can mow them down. Kill everybody, soldier, because daddy's going to buy you this chopper,' repeating it over and over," Reese said.
The store's surveillance video also shows the father and son marching around the store, showcasing the weapon.
With an assault rifle slung over the toddler's shoulder, Reese said he drew the line, took away the weapon and shut the gun case.
According to Reese, the father got angry and wanted to fight, but he never got the man's name.
Reese also said he'll sell AK-47s only to police officers now.
Jefferson Parish Sheriff Harry Lee said he was concerned about the incident but said that the father didn't break any laws.
Gun shop owner will only sell to cops now?
Well, then in that case, someone needs to point that out to everyone in the area.
Just another day at Mitt Romney’s house.
Somehow I'm reminded of this:
Little late for April Fools Day? Bang!
Under the blue jeans...yes.
“Just another day at Mitt Romneys house.”
What the hell are you implying? Got an issue going?
Just another aspect of a “chocolate city”...
There is Nothing wrong with teaching a child how to handle and respect a firearm. Obviously the potential buyer has little confidence in the ability of police to protect individuals. Most of the time when cops respond, the crime has already been committed and the victim has already been identified.
Cops are here to enforce the law. But it is up to individuals to protect their Constitutional rights.
I fired my first 12 gauge shotgun at about age 4.
Had my dad, my grandfather, my uncles, my great uncles, my great great uncles, and a great grandfather present. Might've been some more male relatives there that day but I don't recall.
They helped me lift it up but I pulled the trigger.
Even had my dad's horses there in Great Grandpa's barn, farm implements all over the place, pigs in the oak grove ~ is there anything in that memory that could possibly be wrong?
Ahh, another disciple of the religion of peace...
I am sure the Kid is a member of the NRA’s Eddie Eagle Program.
What is that supposed to mean ?
'This is how you hold it, like this. Anybody in front of you, you can mow them down. Kill everybody, soldier, because daddy's going to buy you this chopper
I think there's a little more going on than teaching a child how to handle and respect a firearm. The father is teaching that kid how NOT to handle a gun. We either have a future jihadist or future gangbanger here.
LOL.
Depending on the circumstances what he's saying could probably be very reasonable.
Now, knowing what we already know about the guy (from the picture of his kid, and the audio portion of the tape) would any of you guys critical of his inarticulateness dare walk nekkid down the street in his part of town?
