I thought the whole point of conservatism is government doesn’t work. How will creating a whole new expensive, cumbersome bureaucracy keep something like this from happening again.
This whole situation is utterly disgusting. Vets tell us not to feed our pets table scraps and that things like Science Diet are best but they are liars.
And really, the whole thing with Rosie O’Donnel in the article, disgusting too. Instead of blaming the government, how about placing the blame where it belongs, the media is supposed to inform us. But they’re too busy trying to convince us every day firings of AG’s are a huge scandal. Or trying to get us to worship Holy Mo so the Muzzies will settle down. Or that this year will again, just like last year, be the worst hurricane season either.
Who watches the watchers?
That is never how I have thought about it. My view is that there are some things government should do -- and some things it shouldn't do. And the more time and money it spends on things it should not do, the poorer job it will do on things it should be doing.
BTW. I'm surprised that the FDA has jurisdiction over pet food. I would have figured that would have been under the Dept. of Agriculture.
You have made very articulate and well reasoned points. I agree with you.
I don’t want MORE government either...I want more Effective and monitored government. the media should inform us, Rosie is just stupid beyond belief and the author mentioning her comment pointed out HOW the media does not help us.
I am now upset with vets also, and the whole pet food industry. I wonder how everyone would feel if these Baby Food companies had this gluten in their food cause of cost.?
