(2007-03-29) Democrats this week finally shed the image that they are weak on national defense when they aggressively rejected the presidents efforts to achieve so-called victory over Islamic terrorists in Iraq, according to a news release from NYT-PAC, a political action committee run by journalists at a leading New York newspaper.
The not-for-profit organization formed to help elect Democrats, said the party flexed its muscles and stood strong in the battle to get U.S. troops out of harms way.
Gone is old reputation of retreat and defeat that has so plagued the Democrat party, the NYT-PAC statement said. The boldness, courage and resolve of these patriotic Democrat heroes will be mentioned by historians in the same breath with names like George Washington, Ulysses Grant, George Patton, Dwight Eisenhower and Norman Schwartzkopf.
Experts interviewed by NYT-PAC note that the turning of the tide in public perception of Democrats on the issue of national security positions the party well for the 2008 presidential election.
The Democrat nominee will start her final sprint to the White House as U.S. troops make their final sprint for the homeland, the statement said, giving our candidate a patriotic backdrop for the campaign, filled with ticker tape parades in major cities celebrating the hasty redeployment.
"sickening..."

Well, it would be sickening, if it came from anyone else but Scrappleface. Somehow they get closer to the truth with their satire than other people do with actual news stories!
Is this actually from Scrappleface? We need some confirmation here!!!
