My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

My birthday won’t happen on Easter again in my life time.

How was your day?

Easter Bunny delivery

Oh what a thrill and joy
to have the Easter Bunny deliver a baby boy,
with a bald head that it made him look like he was shorn
with grey eyes, a beautiful grin and he had horns,
as he grew older the horns started to grow
so his mother knitted a cap so that they would not show.
an imp to be sure with a devilish smile
as he played tricks on others all the while,
his tricks became more bizarre and he got bolder
he grew more brazen as he got older,
he tricked his parents, friends and teachers too
they looked to Freud to get a clue,
even Freud’s writings and teachings could not defuse
the child that would put shaving cream in everyone’s shoes,
smear limburger on the radiator grates
with such a smell that everyone hates,
tacks on a teacher’s chair and she said ouch
putting a frog in his best friend’s mothers couch,
putting tape on a Siamese cat’s head so that it would constantly back up
all because it would not shut up,
this silliness enraged his parents that they became blind
his Father took off his belt and whooped his behind,
a lesson learned for sure at last
as he gingerly tried to sit on his ass,
he certainly has changed his ways
because he is a much better person today.

Aw, that’s amazing! Once in a life time event.

Good thanks, just a down right lazy day. It stays so cold outside, I have no courage to leave the warmth of the manse.

Time for an open fireplace. That would be cool as long as Smoke doesn't’t get in your eyes. 8^)

I do have a huge fireplace in my living room, however it does not work now. This old house was a show place in her day, she is 200 years old. It was a one family home at that time. Many years ago it was divided in 4 apartments. I am on the ground floor.

Old homes have so much character, especially this one, little nooks and crannies in each apt.

The ceilings are about 13’ high. ‘Tis nice.

Sounds like a lovely place. I bet the fireplace has a huge mantle over it in order to place memorabilia and other knickknacks.

It has a mantel yes, not over sized, but room enough for lots of goodies.
