I cannot, neither can my colleagues here at work ever remember this kind of good time aboard ship. I happen to think that it is great and the crew deserves to have some fun. The song playing is by Outcast but not done to the typical Rap rhetoric.

LOL they sure are having a lot of fun.
It is still daylight!
Ben Franklin supposedly said:
Early to bed, early to rise,
makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise (well sort of),
as one makes it onto the bed
and looks for the pillow to lay their head,
with yawns that are so loud
would make a lion proud,
to snuggle under the covers to keep warm
and to hide your head when there is a storm,
adjust your pillow and get in a comfortable position
and await the sandman to fulfill his mission,
by a slight dusting to the eyes with sand
as you slowly drift into dreamland,
and dream of all types of things to be sure
some of the dreams arent so pure,
some dreams cause cases of fright
sometimes during the night,
some dreams bring heartache mixed with cheer
by communicating with those no longer here,
some dreams regress back to days before we were born
where one was protected and warm,
and be in the fetal position sucking our thumb
only to wake momentarily and feel dumb,
because we have had many lessons bad and good
it is imperative that those lessons be understood,
and know that dreams are fleeting moments in time on a clock
where emotions can soar like a bird or sink like a rock,
then we awake for the day sometimes with memories from the night before
as we go about our day doing our daily chore,
of making money so that our family can be fed
only to return home to eat, relax and then go to bed,
to sleep and dream again once more
only hoping that it was better than the one the night before.

Kubla Khan
by Samuel Taylor Coleridge
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree :
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round :
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree ;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.
But oh ! that deep romantic chasm which slanted
Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover !
A savage place ! as holy and enchanted
As e’er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover !
And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething,
As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing,
A mighty fountain momently was forced :
Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst
Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail,
Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher’s flail :
And ‘mid these dancing rocks at once and ever
It flung up momently the sacred river.
Five miles meandering with a mazy motion
Through wood and dale the sacred river ran,
Then reached the caverns measureless to man,
And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean :
And ‘mid this tumult Kubla heard from far
Ancestral voices prophesying war !
The shadow of the dome of pleasure
Floated midway on the waves ;
Where was heard the mingled measure
From the fountain and the caves.
It was a miracle of rare device,
A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice !
A damsel with a dulcimer
In a vision once I saw :
It was an Abyssinian maid,
And on her dulcimer she played,
Singing of Mount Abora.
Could I revive within me
Her symphony and song,
To such a deep delight ‘twould win me,
That with music loud and long,
I would build that dome in air,
That sunny dome ! those caves of ice !
And all who heard should see them there,
And all should cry, Beware ! Beware !
His flashing eyes, his floating hair !
Weave a circle round him thrice,
And close your eyes with holy dread,
For he on honey-dew hath fed,
And drunk the milk of Paradise.
Quote for the day:
Remember no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
