My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I usually listen to Kitaro, Jesse Cook, David Arkenstone, Yanni, Delirium, Enigma and John Tesh on occasion.

I enjoy Yanni and some of the other New Age music, it's calming and dreamy. A bird needs those conditions to soar. LOL

Also, I enjoy some very high spirited music, just makes ya wanna move. ;)

Dancing was a no no when I was a kid growing up, very strict upbringing. I kinda broke the mold. ;)

All the dances we did as kids were tame by today's standards. There is an abundance of 50's - 80's music that I like as well. Some of gets the feet moving. Which I better be doing. See you later on tonight.

Spring

  Softly waving in the breeze,
The daffodil coyly smiles,
And tosses her golden head.
The crocus glistens,
In the pale sunshine,
Shades of yellow, purple and white,
The proud hyacinth holds her head,
Towards the sky, straight and tall,
The snowdrops hide, their glory gone,
They led the way to spring,
The bluebells amass on woodland floors,
The earthy smell of moss and fern,
The catkins swaying in the hedgerow,
The blackbird feeding its young,
All these sights and all these sounds,
Tell us spring has finally arrived,
Bringing life anew to everything.

Care to come with me to outer space?
On wings of will we fly across the void,
Landing in a wilderness of wonders.
Unchain yourselves from now! The present plunders
More than you imagine, dreams destroyed
By labyrinths no longing can retrace.
Ultimately, one pursues the grace
Sought by the heart, or finds oneself employed
Doing what must one’s sweet substance squander.
As in my time, great seas, of sails devoid,
Yet beckon to the winds that guide the race.

Her name whispers desire
ecstasy in old love
A soft soul against crystal
weighed roses with dew on her hair

Paradise fields touched
cool Autumn roses
fire in the forest, found
pastel dancing winds
I love the bloom

angel sent

earth was used to make me
His breath to breathe
and a woman.... she stood
by waiting in the flame
lighted by no mortal affection

I stand so far beneath you
as far as heaven is tall
I come to you limping
thru the shadows hand
of iron resting on my shoulder
if I was Michael your angel sent
I could not love you more
such a temptation you hold
my heart repaired... welded
with the strength of steel
born on the smooth slope
that takes the flower to the snake
melted
I wear a mask

Exquisite, poetry and graphic. Thank you.

You do so well putting poetry with the perfect graphic.

A mother serves her sugar with
A bit of peppermint
To clarify the passages
That carry what she meant

When she first set to bear a soul
Quite separate from her own,
Whom she would cherish, yet must teach
To live and die alone.

Thanks, Feather! You're my inspiration!

Inspiration

How often have I started out
With no thought in my noodle,
And wandered here and there about,
Where fancy bade me toddle;
Till feeling faunlike in my glee
I've voiced some gay distiches,
Returning joyfully to tea,
A poem in my britches.

A-squatting on a thymy slope
With vast of sky about me,
I've scribbled on an envelope
The rhymes the hills would shout me;
The couplets that the trees would call,
The lays the breezes proffered . . .
Oh no, I didn't think at all -
I took what Nature offered.

For that's the way you ought to write -
Without a trace of trouble;
Be super-charged with high delight
And let the words out-bubble;
Be voice of vale and wood and stream
Without design or proem:
Then rouse from out a golden dream
To find you've made a poem.

So I'll go forth with mind a blank,
And sea and sky will spell me;
And lolling on a thymy bank
I'll take down what they tell me;
As Mother Nature speaks to me
Her words I'll gaily docket,
So I'll come singing home to tea
A poem in my pocket.

The sun has chased away the night
and across the fields it is only light
the eyes and the sun must meet
and time to stand up on your feet
but no, is going through your head
as you remain there in your bed.

The sun has chased away the night
and across the fields it is only light
the eyes and the sun must meet
and time to stand up on your feet
but no, is going through your head
as you remain all snuggled in your bed.

The rooster crows and the cow says moo
and you have yet to put on a shoe
most people have the morning paper read.
as you remain all snuggled in your bed.
