Looks like the more adventurous one has found the grown-up's perch!

Meanwhile, it doesn't appear to be as much fun anymore to just lie around the house with his feet in the air. Maybe he's thinking he too should try that climbing around business...?

Nah, never mind....

You beat me to it!
I have some shots on my work computer of the dominant one fluttering up to the “big kids” table. The other one experimented with flapping and making short hops to the branches, then decided it was too much work and took a nap.
It’s almost like big brother is modeling “Fledging 101” for his sibling. They don’t seem to have much of a rivalry, almost the opposite.
Or I could be completely wrong, and Big Brother’s flight to the high perch was a sign that he’s had quite enough of the sibling’s nest hogging and laziness.

Only one in the nest this AM...you could probably identify better than me.

The younger one is there. An adult is sitting where the older eaglet was yesterday, but no sign of the eaglet.
It appears he’s taken his first flight out of the tree, or to a different branch out of camera range. Good job, Eaglet!

I’m a little nervous.
The one adult hasn’t left the perch on camera 1, and the older eaglet hasn’t reappeared. I hope he’s just out of range and okay.
Mom/Dad looks like they’re keeping an eye on the other one, maybe to entice him out of the nest? He seems a bit less daring than the other eaglet and disturbed at suddenly being alone. (Don’t ask me to explain what a “disturbed” expression looks like on a bird.)

You gotta remember that Eaglet #2 hatched almost a full week later than #1...I’m a’hopin’ that this is just his “catch-up” week....

Was it really a week?! I thought it was just a day or so. That explains alot.
Eaglet #2 spent quite a bit of time flapping and stretching this evening. He’s getting ready!

He/She’s been fluffing the feathers and taking “cross-nest” hops.

I noticed more sticks are piling up in the nest. Are the eaglets dismantling their safety walls, or have the adults brought them?

Had one fly directly over my head the other day only about 50 feet up.
Don’t know where the crows were. Usually when an eagle is around, they’re out there raising Cain and dive bombing him and such...

Not sure...but I'm thinking there are no new sticks...but the fluffy in-between stuff is falling away. Mom and dad aren't maintaining it anymore, so the structure is baring itself and waiting for next year.

Eaglet #1 returned to the nest this morning for a visit.
Eaglet #2 had been quite hyper but once Big Brother returned he calmed down and settled in for a nap. Odd Eagle Behavior.
