I think you misread the article. It is my understanding that the parties involved are:
1. Nicole Winstanley - a lesbian that was born (and still is) a biological woman.
2. Ronald Francis Terry (aka Barbara Lynn Terry) - a biological male that lives as a woman (i.e. wears dresses and makeup) but has NOT yet had his genitals surgically mutilated. He is still a man (no matter what he calls himself or wears), and the doctor testified as much.
Therefore one member of the couple has male DNA and the other has female DNA.
As the judge said, "Since Barbara Lynn Terry is a man under the law and has taken no steps to surgically become a woman, there is no legal impediment to marrying them. In sum, he is still a man and his bride a woman." The judge made the right call under the law.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Yep, I did misread the article, thought the doc had sliced and diced. Thanks for keeping me on the ball.
Hometown Pride!
Really, really, really weird!
The socialism is getting worse...but a large part of that is that people don't get out and vote.
What do you think the voting percentage will be come April 3rd? 10% Possibly 12%?
I can live with myself because I have yet to miss a vote from Dog Catcher on up; but you're right...it's frustrating as h#ll how many people just take life here for granted and are more than willing to be slowly boiled alive, like a frog in a pot of tepid water.
We won't be able to afford to live here in the future at the rate things are going. I have no doubt about our money-making skills, however, it's tough to get ahead when each year the State takes a bigger chunk of flesh from your hide.
That's why I'm fixing up my farm now, and within the next 5-10 years we'll be selling it and our business and most likely leaving the state, too, unless drastic changes are made in key government areas.
I'm not a quitter, but I'm not an idiot, either. I CAN see the forest for the trees. :)
