AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2251) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 23, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 03/23/2007 4:52:27 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

Let's call this screed The Great Global Warming Warning, or, in the alternative--what is really behind the "warming."

Earlier this week, we were treated to the spectacle of former Senator Gore showing us why he should be annointed with the doctorate uber alles degree in hypocracy as he sallied forth into the Senate--ignoring anything Republican, mind you, except for the one inconvenient question about his Inconvenient Truth from Senator Inhofe--to warn the planet that it has a fever.

Of course, it is not just Earth that has a fever--increased temperatures have been noted on every planet in the solar system in which scientists have cared to measure--this includes Pluto (but wait--didn't they say Pluto was no longer a planet, so, therefore, we cannot use that icy rock as evidence against the eko-wackos?--don't care, going to anyway...). Yes, those pesky humans are so troublesome they are screwing up the whole solar system. Yep, even the Sun is subject to heating--must be one heckofa runaway period of waming on that rock of a planet, Earth. Humans are just incapable of mixing with nature.

And what, exactly, does one do when humans are out of control? Well, the liberals have the answer--and they point to conservatives telling us that we wanted it first--control! The only difference, naturally, is that conservatives want to control the behavior of folks such that we don't hurt other folks. Liberals just want to control us so we don't hurt ourselves--and "don't hurt ourselves" has a pretty big umbrella. The only problem--for someone to keep us from hurting ourselves means that someone has to have the chutzpah to actually presume they know more than us.

Re-enter Mr. Gore.

Surely we must understand that our efforts are hurting the planet, he has told us so, and he is Mr. Environment after all--with a direct line to the pulse of the planet. Surely he touches the planet every day to take its temperature, but he best not do it in his house. Using more than 20 times the electricity of the average American, his house probably heats half the state of Tennessee. If global warming were really a problem, Mr. Gore, maybe your swimming pool could be 75 degrees instead of 85?

He has an answer to that--he always does. These are called "carbon credits". You see, if you require the use of more carbon (in the form of carbon dioxide--not the same thing as carbon, but who ever said the environmentalists would let such picayune things as facts get in the way...), then you simply buy it from someone who doesn't. In other words, if you are rich, you can simply buy your way out of the compliance regime. Presidential wannabe John Edwards does, indeed as it turns out, have it right--there are two Americas. Those who make the rules, and those who follow the rules--and liberals only sit in the first category. Or, to paraphrase a famous madame--rules are only for the little people. Got to have that 85 degree pool dontchaknow.

All right, so Mr. Gore doesn't want to take the energy pledge (never mind the math in the pledge doesn't work--he didn't bother with that answer--as a requirement to use only what the average American uses is a tail chase as folks use less, the average goes down), what's the big deal? Isn't he right that we should treat the environment better.

Yes, he is right on that account, but we confuse using the environment responsibly with not using it at all. God gave us dominion over the planet, which gives us the responsibility to use what is provided for us wisely and to good benefit. And this is where Al Gore and his minions fail, and fail miserably.

Let's just start with the basics. Look at the United Kingdom. Britain has been castigating the United States for not drinking the economic kool-aid of Kyoto; and for good reason--their people are grumbling over the strictures their own government is placing on their freedom in the name of protecting the planet.

In London, if you have the temerity to drive one of those dreaded SUVs into the city, you must pay the equivalent of $50. In fact, you must pay $50 for each day you drive an SUV in the city of London. That's well over $17,500 per year in the form of a tax for simply wanting to drive your car in a specific location. The British aren't stopping there, nope, not by a long shot.

In an effort to make George III proud of the current society, there is serious talk of prohibiting the English speaking peoples of Britain (well, the rest of the British subjects, too) from taking more than one trip on an airplane. George III simply drew a line on the map and said you can't go west of the Appalachians--the current government is getting set to say they cannot go east, west, north, or south from England! And the ONE flight? Oh, yeah, you will need to pay a carbon tax to take that!

Let's bring it back across the Atlantic. There is talk of rationing. The eko-wackos would want you to believe that the capitalist system is destroying the planet, so let's ration the resources in the name of sustainability. Rationing on the scale of World War II. Most of us weren't around for that, but it required you to prove your driving was essential, and if it wasn't, you really didn't get much gas, if any at all. You'd be a prisoner in your home. You'd likely have to change jobs or move--after all, it isn't essential to live more than walking distance from where you work, is it? Also, tires were unobtainable, housing scarce, rent was controlled (still is in New York in places--think for a moment was that does to the price of non-rent controlled units under control of the same management...). Rationing, if PETA had its way, would extend to meat. Of course, a willing leftist legislature would be more that ready to step in with the necessary emergency legislation.

But the cruelist cut of all is these policies of the left--the great protectors of minorities--are racist. Al Gore says we shouldn't build another power plant. That's not just in the United States, that's anywhere. It is estimated that one million people die each year in Africa because, yep, you guessed it, no electricity.

And they'll keep right on dying.

But they won't be creating carbon dioxide, so Algore can sleep easy. His all telling hand will show the fever of the planet--nay, solar system--will be going down and we'll be saved.

All of us, that is, except those not deemed worthy by the Great Al.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chariman.

Good morning, I. G.

Congressman Tom Tancredo was my congressman (Colorado 6th, I was in at the time) until a liberal judge redrew the districts after the 2000 census created a new (7th) district and I wound up in the 7th. The liberal judge made no bones that he redrew the districts to make the 7th based on political division to make it as equal as possible. Being that this was an obvious case of gerrymandering, the Republican Party took it all the way to the CO Supremes, who ruled in favor of the liberal judge, since the CO Supreme Court is infested with liberal justices.

Our first election in the 7th was extremely close and we barely won with our Bob Beauprez over the clinton-loving, detestable Tom Feely....by something like 121 votes in some 150,000 in a recount.

Beauprez ran for gov in 2006 and vacated the seat. We lost the governor and we lost that seat last November.

Got way off topic.......Congressman Tancredo is a wonderful man and he would make a great president. He is what we all would want. He belongs to my church and I have handed him bulletins on his way into the sanctuary before. I haven't met him personally. Unfortunately, he has no chance to win. His name is completely unknown to all the sheeple who vote mostly on name recognition. He is also height challenged and that, unfortunately, is a big strike against him in this day and age of, again, sheeple that vote on worthless things like name recognition and appearance.

Didn't mean to be so long winded.....saw your post and wanted to fill you in on some more background.

Tancredo and I share a mutual friend, Congressman Steve King of Iowoa's 5th. Knowing King as I do, I'm not surprized the two of them are friends.

Yes, they are both good guys. I have almost pulled up stakes and moved from the 7th district back into the 6th after living here 26 years to get back under Tancredo after we lost the 7th to the disgraceful perlmutter (just another dangerous CRAT) in November. I am thinking of formulating a letter to perlmutter (d CO 7th) asking him to explain why he INSANELY voted for a bill that would give our enemy a date certain to surrender to them. I have not been able to because I am so furious at the CRAT party (the party that should have been abolished years ago, let alone now being in power) that is going to destroy us from within that I can't tone my language down enough to write it.

Good morning.

NC Rep. Walt Jones, alleged Republican, was one of the two Rep. "representatives" who voted FOR the Iraqi bill. Mel Watt (D-NC) did not vote.

Pelosi reportedly used the carrot/stick method....promises of pork and threats...to get it passed. "Disgraceful" isn't strong enough a word to describe these traitors who put themselves and the Dem. party above the welfare of our troops.

Good morning, C.M.

I would say Jones is heading for the prefix of RINO to be added to his name. Sorry to hear he voted for surrendering to the terrorists. I only wish there was a crystal ball that would show all of America what is going to happen not only over there, but even here, in the aftermath if/when we surrender to these insane savages.

Toby, it is 8:43 pm Saturday night here. I can't wait the next three hours until the 26th. So here and now, I think I'm the first, I want to wish you a HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. You are loved.

I also want to tell you that you and I share a birthday. Your physical birthday and my spiritual birthday. In 1971 on this date, around 8 pm, I prayed to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. HALLELUJAH! My life has never been the same.

I am suffering from a mild cold so I will say good night now. I love you and I'll be back in the morrow.

Yes. The 4% of Iowans who were supporting Viltax's presidential bid are not likely to make a difference.Viltax is on a fishing expedition. He's looking for a cabinent appointment.

Before I go. That is not good at all for the Brits. Not good in any way shape or form.

An aside, our family knows that if any of us are taken hostage by any group for any reason, while we work for our escape or recovery, we do NOT NEGOTIATE. We consider that member dead. That's a decision we have all reached individually and as a family.

This Army General wants to silence Michael Yon.

Vincent Brooks

He might look familiar as the man once known as the "the face of the U.S. military" for his role as spokesman for U.S. Central Command during the beginning of the Iraq War, He was the former chief PAO (Public Affairs Officer) of the US Army. He is currently the deputy commanding general - support for Multinational Division-Baghdad.

Vincent Brooks is also the general that has just threatened to kick Michael Yon out of Iraq.

hmmmm...I have Toby's b.d. as the 26th, but no matter...you are on the other side of the world, time-wise, and besides Toby's earned the right to celebrate any time and as often as he likes! (This is NOT to be confused with Bit's Phenomenon)

Nope, you are right. We concur. But I am suffering from a cold and thought that Saturday was the 25th. That would mean Sunday was his birthday. Head is dizzy, nose is running and I've just misplaced 24 hours.

I need to be in bed.
