A late-season winter storm caused havoc and numerous flight cancellations along the Atlantic seaboard. In Washington, snow totals were generally between 1 and 3 inches, but this approaches (though doesn's surpass) records for this late in Winter. Where's Algore?

Potatoes seem to be in the news this morning. I read on Mad Ivan's site about the newly elected French PM who was reelected despite his opposition reporting the PM had seduced a former lover by saying her kisses were better than Baked Potatoes.
I thought the French were supposed to be masters of the Art.

My kids occasionally refer to a couple who is Pregnant. This is something new to their generation. I don't ever recall in my younger years refer to a couple by saying "They are pregnant". It was always "She is pregnant".
I will give the Generation X'ers credit for more accurately describing the situation. It takes two, so THEY are correctly described as pregnant, as long as HE sticks around.
I think they're wrong. She is the only one of the pair pregnant. He doesn't go through the morning sickness, all day long, he doesn't get kicked through the night and half the day, he doesn't get the stretch marks, and he doesn't have the scars of the birth.
Sorry, THEY may be expecting a baby, but SHE is the only one pregnant.

Perhaps. Some spouses do have sympathetic symptoms such as nausea. But one simply can't be half pregnant, and "pregnant" means "filled w/life". She's the one who is "filled".

I heard about the video too, but I watched last night's show about HGTV's Dream House win....a retired postmaster from Johnson City, Tenn. won it. In addition to the house, he received a new car and $250,000.
