wow....thanks! Our little garage kitty loves the Iams chicken pouches. I tried to buy some at Wal-Mart tonight and they told me about the recall. I almost had a panic attack til I could check the ones we have left....and the one I fed her last night. All of the ones I have start with "61...", not the "63...". but she's not getting to eat those! Dry food for her! She is NOT pleased.

Now, as long as dry Purina One Senior cat food and dry Purina EN dog food isn't added....we're good to go!

Scary isn't it? I hope I hope my kittys are ok--the numbers did not match, thank goodness. They say it is an ingredient from a new supplier. I wish we knew more.

What kind of dog do you have? Is she a pyranese?

I think I'm clear; mine only eat the prescription type.

BUT...my dogs sneak in and eat the cats' food and one of them did develop bladder stones, which they think came from the high protein in the cat food, so people really should NOT feed cat food to dogs OR dog food to cats!

Take my word for it; it cost me $2000 to find out!

Ouch! expensive mistake. I bought one can of the science diet savory cuts by accident. My cats don't like it much. It didn't match the numbers, but it still makes me worry,

Unfortunately, I've fed my pets nothing but SD since they were born; now they won't eat anything else.

But they are healthy as hell; my dogs and cats live to be 17 and 18 years old!

Thanks. Even though I now feed my dogs dry - was holding my breath as sometimes I mix a can in for a treat. And sure enough I had some 22oz cans of Great Choice Country Stew Cuts with the corresponding number. Dang, this is upsetting.

I feed my GS Good Life Recipe and the Bichon Royal Canin and if either one of those had been listed - would have stopped using even though they are dry.

We feed our 55 pound English Pointer Iams dry in the morning after a 4 mile walk and Pedigree wet around 2pm. Not sure who makes Pedigree?

What is SD? My dogs eat so badly because my husband is a push over and feeds them whatever he is eating just because they sit over him slobbering.

That is wonderful! My kittys mostly only eat Science Diet too, but I have an ailing older kitty that recently only wants wet food or food that he can lick. I've been trying anything he will eat. He is starting to improve and just in the last few days back to nibbling on dry again. He's 17 years old and needing lots of care and attention right now. I would feel so awful knowing I fed him something that made him worse.

It really is.....my 11 year old golden has cost us a fortune the past year. If I thought it was because of tainted food....I'd scream! Doc put him on Purina EN. Lucky is not pleased with it. He prefers cheap food with tons of dye!

My 9 year old barn cats....who have never been in a barn or outside...lol....refuse to eat wet food. Doc has them on Purina Senior. They also would like kibble with tons of dye.

Stupid animals...

Thanks! Having 4 cats and one dog, it does. Got concerned when I saw IAMS listed, but seems to be only canned food. Tabor
