Find a partner or grab your favorite beverage & listen to some Irish tunes .A couple of wave files - full-length, lilting, Irish melodies - they are so beautiful! I hope you can open them, or "save target as" to your hard drive and listen to them later.

Why Saint Patrick's Day?
Saint Patrick's Day has come to be associated with everything Irish: anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck. Most importantly, to those who celebrate its intended meaning, St. Patrick's Day is a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.
So, why is it celebrated on March 17th? One theory is that that is the day that St. Patrick died. Since the holiday began in Ireland, it is believed that as the Irish spread out around the world, they took with them their history and celebrations. The biggest observance of all is, of course, in Ireland. With the exception of restaurants and pubs, almost all businesses close on March 17th. Being a religious holiday as well, many Irish attend mass, where March 17th is the traditional day for offering prayers for missionaries worldwide before the serious celebrating begins.
In American cities with a large Irish population, St. Patrick's Day is a very big deal. Big cities and small towns alike celebrate with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green!

Virtually I think though tummy still does not feel right I think I will have a lazy day today just a few house hold chores and cook a meal. Was due to do some work up the loft but think I will give it a miss as the washing up has piled up and it will be very late before I am up the garden anyway.

I am a bit like you w/iron clad tummy (not the muscles holding it in, mind you! lol).. but more recently I have experienced some stress in area & am wondering if it has to do with changes in digestive enzymes etc as we get older. Well, I do hope you will improve enough to not feel zapped out at work come tomorrow.

After my second mug of coffee feel a lot better and certainly I made the right decision to have a lazy morning/afternoon.
All I intend to do for the rest of the day is dinner which is nice and easy a roast chicken just bung it in the oven and forget it.

Religion Or Christ?
READ: Ephesians 2:1-10
By grace you have been saved through faith . . . ; it is the gift of God, not of works. Ephesians 2:8-9
Mary works hard because she wants her boss to recognize her accomplishments and reward her with a higher-paying position. Nancy loves her job and the product her company sells, and out of loyalty she works hard to make the product better.
Mary is like the person who hopes that good works or religion will be rewarded by God someday. Such people count on their good deeds to get them into heaven.
Nancy is a picture of those who have faith in God to get them into heaven. Such people do good works out of gratitude and love for Him.
Someone with religion may believe in God, attend church, say prayers, show kindness, and be seen as a good person. People with religion have many good qualities, but religion is not a substitute for faith in Jesus Christ.
People with faith put their trust in Jesus for forgiveness of sin. They have assurance of entrance into heaven and seek to become more like Jesus each day. The apostle Paul said that the way of salvation is by grace through faith. Its not of works but is the gift of God (Eph. 2:8-9).
The only way to the Father in heaven is through faith in Jesus (John 14:6).
Do you choose religion or Christ?

We are saved not by what we do but by trusting what Christ has done.

How many purple hearts do you have? Never banned, never even cautioned. Though at times comrades and/or the enemy were dropping like flies all around me.
I did get a paper cut while thumbing feverishly through Romer's Vertebrate Paleontology one time, but didn't pull a "Kerry".

Thanks. Those threads could never hold my interest for very long, so I wasn't aware that they were so vicious. I can see how they would be.

I read your post hours and hours ago. I just can't get the intriguing notion of a moth forest out of my mind.

I've already told Bill, but will post it here, too:
what a neat picture that is (the first/top one posted)of Whittaker? Duncan? Hunter? = the new guy at Bill's house.
Very cool the way he made such a stylized "oval" of himself and then struck that perfect pose by poking his head right up through the middle. I predict he won't have any trouble winning over Bill's girls. ;)
