My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Cheers!
starbase, you have learned some very important lessons for living both here at home and in Asia. Asia taught you how to look into yourself. America is a wonderful land, but there is so much shallowness in her people. Not all, of course, though so many of our young have only materialistic values, or the way I see it nothing of value.
BTW good post.

Build it and they will come!!!
This is the actual turnoff from Banff to the # 1 highway to Calgary. Great picture isn't it? They had to build the animals (especially the elk) their own crossing because that was where the natural crossing was and after the highway was built there were far too many accidents. I understand it didn't take the animals long to learn that this was their "road."

That's delightful, cruizen elk!

When Elk are your ilk
ya build an elk road
not to be used by toads you see
only the Elk whose bugle can
be heard in their rut
it is weird to be heard
especially when on the Elk Highway
to heaven is traversed by them
who plod on split hoof,
wear beards, and toot their own horn.

I couldn't find a rabbit with a pancake on it's head,
so here are some geese lobbying for Spring.

On a bright winter day
by the King's highway
like silver and felt
walks the march of the Elks
with their heads in the air
they proceed with their fair
they cross the way, two by two
to use the human's bridge, would never do!

When I arrived in Phoenix, Arizona today, I was greeted by an electrical storm and heavy rain. Haven"t seen rain like that in a very long time. Just to watch and hear it was very tranquilizing.
